If you ever wanted an HP Touchpad, now is the time to buy! Reports have been coming in that HP has dropped the price of the 16gb and 32gb tablets drastically. The formerly $399.99 16gb is now a bargain $99 and the $499 32gb can be stolen for $149! Some retailers like Best Buy Canada and FutureShop started the selling frenzy late Friday but the sale prices were expected to go live on August 20th. That means depending on were you’re at, that’s now! The memo from HP stated an end date of August 22nd but are there going to be enough units left by then?
I’m hearing stories of rabid geeks already storming 24 hour Wal-Mart locations to do some early Christmas shopping. If you want one of these babies, I suggest getting up early and hitting Best Buy, Target, Wal-Mart…basically any place with an electroincs department.

Google Gobbling Up Motorola Mobility for $12.5 Billion
Last Updated on Tuesday, 30 August 2011 12:53 Written by The Geek Monday, 15 August 2011 06:55
Not a small chunk of change to throw around right? Yes that’s right folks looks as if Google is finally making the jump and putting the purchase down on Motorola Mobility. At the 12.5 billion price that equates to $40 a share of Motorola stock, or a premium of 63% over Friday’s closing price. “Motorola Mobility’s total commitment to Android has created a natural fit for our two companies,” Google CEO Larry Page said in a statement. “Together, we will create amazing user experiences that supercharge the entire Android ecosystem for the benefit of consumers, partners and developers. I look forward to welcoming Motorolans to our family of Googlers.”
This seems like a good venture as Moto has been very heavy into Android and the two have always had each others back. Check out the press release after the break and let us know what you think of the merger in the comments.

Netflix Coming To Android Sooner Than Later?
Last Updated on Monday, 24 January 2011 10:37 Written by The Geek Friday, 7 January 2011 12:01
In an unexpected demo of the LG Revolution at CES the viewer got a nice little treat. As you can see in the video below Netflix looks pre-loaded on this device. The demonstrator is really behind Verizon 4G on this and is basing the Netflix showing up due to that. About time is what I have to say! I cannot wait to get Netflix rocking on my Android devices. What do you think? Check the video below and leave your comments.

Broken Phone? Listing of the Most “Durable” Smartphones Out There
Last Updated on Thursday, 11 November 2010 12:04 Written by PieceOfSith Thursday, 11 November 2010 02:00
Nothing can be more painful to any electronic lover than have his device break. This by no means any different for the Smart Phone lover. There is nothing more painful to see than your beloved and up to date Smart phone with a huge crack in the display. As Charles Barkley would say, “That is just Terrible!!” Anyways, thanks to SquareTrade, a company that sells extended warranties for all Smart phone devices, has given a list of the most durable, and least durable, devices out there.
The study was done by studying over 50,000 smart phones and testing the “drop” rating of the phone and how they responded. Here is the breakdown:
1) The iPhone 4 is the phone you are less likely to drop in the first year of use but does have the MOST LIKELY to break from accidental damage and Blackberry having the LEAST LIKELY to break from accidental damage.
2) For Malfunctioning Flaws, highest rated Phones not to fail are iPhone, Motorola, HTC and Blackberry
Take this with a grain of salt folks. You can hear of a phone breaking from hitting carpet or just the opposite of dropping a phone and having it hit concrete with no scratch on it. It is nice to see a little scale though of the phones that are built well from accidental damage and malfunctioning issues that always can occur.
