BioWare listened, Mass Effect 3: Extended Cut coming this summer.

BioWare has finally cleared up how they plan on satiating the fans colossally disappointed at the “ending” of Mass Effect 3. Releasing this summer, the Mass Effect 3: Extended Cut will be available to download for Xbox 360, PS3 and PCs. What is the Extended Cut? According to the company, it’s a series of cut scenes and epilogues to answer many of the lingering questions left by what many considered a slap in the face and a cookie cutter ending.
We have reprioritized our post-launch development efforts to provide the fans who want more closure with even more context and clarity to the ending of the game, in a way that will feel more personalized for each player. -Casey Hudson
The best part is EA BioWare is giving this closure to the millions of players for free. No charge is good news as many felt this was a cold way to drum up post-launch DLC sales. And EA needs the goodwill after their Consumerist “win“. Do you geeks feel this is a good compromise between dissatisfied players and the developer’s vision?

You will? I’m so flattered, especially with all of your other suitors. Just you and me, lasers blasting in the air as we fight all sorts of baddies. I’ll whisper into your ear, telling you what to do. Maybe afterwards we can hang out with some friends, do it all over again? Sounds like a fun Valentine’s Day to me!
Wow, did BioWare ever pick a heck of a day to decide to schedule the demo for Mass Effect 3! Maybe they don’t realize some of us do in fact have loved ones and are pretty much obligated to spend that day with them. Oh the humanity! Coming with the demo will be BioWare’s Kinect features as well as the ability to try out the co-op portion. Hold on a second though! You can play co-op if you happened to have redeemed the online pass from Battlefield 3 or through some as-of-yet-unannounced promos from EA and BioWare. Barring those methods, geeks will have to wait until the 17th to take on the Reavers with a buddy.
As previously reported, players will unlock goodies for Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning by playing through the demo and via verss. The Mass Effect 3 demo will hit simultaneously on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC on February 14th. Sorry honey, you might want to eat alone!

Will Mass Effect’s Tali Ever Show Her Face? [VIDEO]

Tali’Zorah has spent the last two games in the Mass Effect world wrapped up in her protective suit, never to take it off for fear of illness and death. By not seeing what she looks like, speculation amongst fans has run rampant. Fan art pops up all the time, envisioning her looks and curves. While some of the ideas are genius, some are a bit disturbing to say the least. With Mass Effect 3 coming out early next year, will the shapely lass finally be unmasked?
We know that some of the Shepard’s crew and loves are getting a bit of a makeover for the final trek through the universe. Tali has been one of those confirmed for a sprucing up in the battle against the Reavers. Will that include some real face time with the mysterious and ingenious Quarian?
