Assassin’s Creed 3 to be set during American Revolution?
Last Updated on Monday, 30 January 2012 06:03 Written by JCWaitWat Monday, 30 January 2012 07:00
It was announced last year that Desmond Miles’ story will be concluded some time this year, prompting some to fear that the Assassin’s Creed series was going to suffer from the Call of Duty game-a-year syndrome. However after the success of Assassin’s Creed: Revelations those fears have gone unfounded, and Ubisoft has been dropping some hints to the location of Assassin’s Creed 3.
Ubisoft have confirmed that this new installment will have a new main character, to find out what happens to Ezio you must watch the short film Assassin’s Creed: Embers. Similarly, CVG‘s inside man has told them that it will be set during the 18th century and this will be publicly announced before the end of Ubisoft’s fiscal year on March 31st. Depending how you see it, an American setting may have been hinted at in the Da Vinci Disappearance DLC for Brotherhood where an Apple of Eden generated globe seemingly hovered over America. But, the biggest indicator was a survey produced by Ubisoft which asked fans where they would like the next instalment to take place. Options included Medieval China, Victorian England and of course The American Revolution.
However Medieval China could equally be a possibility. For those who have seen Embers, Ezio is joined by Chinese Master Assassin Shao Jun who has come to Florence to seek help and advice from the Italian mentor. Shao Jun returns to China in order to liberate her people, having been educated by Ezio. So Medieval China or America in revolution? Which would you prefer?

Resident Evil 6 is a go says Capcom! [VIDEO]
Last Updated on Thursday, 19 January 2012 04:30 Written by LoganDX Thursday, 19 January 2012 04:24
That’s right geeks, Capcom has officially confirmed Resident Evil 6 is on the way! 10 years after the infamous Raccoon City disaster, the President of the United States is coming out about what happened. During the event, the President is hit by a bioterrorist attack and is changed into unrecognizable mess, leaving fellow attendee Leon S. Kennedy to take charge and take care of his good buddy.
Over in China, series tough guy Chris Redfield is in China tending to an attack there as well. More outbreaks happen, forcing the two into their first team up! Bringing up the cast will be some new faces and new additions. The best part? RE 6 is hitting the Xbox 360 and PS3 this fall, November 20th! PC players can expect their version sometime afterwards. I’m interested to see what they do, especially as excited as I am for Operation Raccoon City coming soon. What about you geeks? Ready to slaughter more “zombie” fools? Hit the comments after the jump, plus read up on Capcom’s press release and the watch the trailer!

Apple to Chinese – No iPhone for you!
Last Updated on Friday, 13 January 2012 11:52 Written by LoganDX Friday, 13 January 2012 01:00
Following an outbreak of contagious violence in China, Apple has suspended sales of the newly arrived iPhone 4S. Citing safety concerns for the staffers at the Apple store in Beijing, Cupertino is refusing to sell the phone for the vague “for the time being”. The violent crowd pelted the store with eggs (why?), this was on top of the initial fighting in the crowd which prompted the store closure to begin with.
What was the big deal? What all the fighting? Allegedly the crowd included a large number of hoarders and drones working for resellers. These factions started fighting while waiting in line for the device and the fights became big enough to garner police attention. It’s big business to grab as many phones as possible and sell them at a massive mark up so they thought each other was rumbling on their turf. Add that to the fanboys looking for their “new” iPhone and it was a volatile mix from the beginning! Hit the jump to watch footage of the fighting. What do you geek think, good move on Apple’s part?

Apple Granted 40 Chinese Patents
Last Updated on Wednesday, 21 September 2011 05:06 Written by Nick McD Wednesday, 21 September 2011 04:38
Apple Computer Corporation was granted 40 technical patents in mainland China Sept. 9th, further strengthening Apple’s legal rights there. Apple’s devices are among the most pirated in China, and these patents will offer them a greater defense against the fake Apple products dealers across China have been selling.
Apple has also been winning suits against cellular handset manufacturers for patent infringement, and having these patents will offer them another court system in which to legally challenge other smart phone designs. More after the break. Read more: Apple Granted 40 Chinese Patents
