Holy movie of the year Batman! It’s the official Dark Knight Rises Trailer! [VIDEO]

Premiering this weekend with Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows, the new Dark Knight Rises trailer has been unleashed upon us! Bane looks like a certified bad-ass, Gotham Stadium becomes a sinkhole and Selina Kyle is positively hot! I’m feeling this movie needs to run over three hours to fit everything in it. They say this is the end for the Dark Knight epic tale as told by Christopher Nolan and I’m very much crying in my Cheerios! Just watch the trailer, preferably several times like I did and then watch it again. Serious, it’s that awesome!

The end begins July 20th, 2012 so keep the faith alive until then!

Holy Dark Knight details Batman- the gritty details of the Dark Knight Rises

The director of the upcoming Batman film, the Dark Knight Rises, spoke recently to film magazine Empire about what the movie is all about and also the man who broke the Bat – Bane. By the way SPOILERS AHEAD! Nolan, who directed both Batman Begins and The Dark Knight, told the magazine that the Dark Knight Rises will be about finishing Batman and Bruce Wayne’s story, whether or not it will end with Bane snapping Batman’s back we shall have to wait and see. As for the setting, Nolan said that it will in fact be set 8 years after the events of the Dark Knight with an older Bruce in a bad state. Batman Beyond film anyone?

As for Bane, the drug pumped, intellectual lunatic that Batman will have to face will be played by Tom Hardy, who played Eames in Inception (another Nolan film) and said a lot to the magazine about Bane’s character :

He’s brutal. Brutal. He’s a big dude who’s incredibly clinical, in the fact that he has a result-based and oriented fighting style. It’s not about fighting. It’s about carnage. The style is heavy-handed, heavy-footed, it’s nasty. Anything from small-joint manipulation to crushing skulls, crushing rib cages, stamping on shins and knees and necks and collarbones and snapping heads off and tearing his fists through chests, ripping out spinal columns. He is a terrorist in mentality as well as brutal action.

Lovely stuff ain’t it? The film will be released 20th July 2012, but Nolan has confirmed there will be a prologue which according the Nolan will be the “basically the first six, seven minutes of the film” which will give all ”an introduction to Bane, and a taste of the rest of the film.” Look for it to be shown in select IMAX theatres on December 21st.

First Peaks of Cat Woman in The Dark Knight Rises are Leaked, MEEOOWW!!

With The Dark Knight Rises having some nice sneak peeks as of late including Bane’s costume and video of Batman fighting Bane, many are wondering what an image of Anne Hathaway as Cat Woman will look like.  Well Cat fans, the wait is over.  Since the news of what actress will play this sexy role, fans wondered how Christopher Nolan would portray the villainess role.  Will she be shot in the patent leather look as Michelle Pfeiffer did or the hot two piece outfit that Halle Berry sported?  As the picture shows, it looks like it is a little of both.
