PS4: Greatness Awaits But Details Are Available Now
Last Updated on Thursday, 13 June 2013 02:24 Written by Laddie13 Thursday, 13 June 2013 02:24
Sony showed off it’s next generation console at E3 and now has officially released a vast amount of details to get us even more excited for the PS4. An official press release sheet details just exactly what will be in the box, which does not include the Playstation camera. Quite frankly, I’ m pretty happy about that, I”d rather not be forced to buy an accessory I may never use. That’s right Microsoft, I’m talking about the Kinect. The Playstation camera can be purchased separately for a suggested retail price of $59.99. That price point will also be what it will cost to buy extra DualShock 4 controllers.
For the first time ever Sony will be including a headset in all PS4 boxes, sure it’s mono but it will be functional for those of you who do not have one. Finally, all PS4′s will also include an HDMI cable. I could never understand the packaging of non-HD cables in the current generation of consoles since high definition gaming is all the rage. Also included in the box is the console complete with 500 GB HDD, one wireless DualShock 4, a USB cable and of course an AC power cord. The cost of the PS4 is $399 and is expected to launch later this year.
For those of you geeks who want all the technical details, stick around after the break to see Sony’s official press release. Read more: PS4: Greatness Awaits But Details Are Available Now

New Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain E3 trailer!
Last Updated on Tuesday, 11 June 2013 04:19 Written by LoganDX Tuesday, 11 June 2013 04:19
I’m spent already from the awesome E3 trailers and news but man I can’t get enough! Here’s the new E3 trailer for Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. This new trailer gives us a glimpse into the new stealth tactics that Snake can use during his open world jaunts. There’s a good bit of time just spent in the open world environments showcasing new elements such as realistic weather patterns and passage of time.
It takes a while but we get to hear Kiefer Sutherland’s voice as Snake and as a 24 fan, I was quite ecstatic! What’s awesome is Konami is readying MGS V to hit the Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS3 and PS4! The new trailer and press release are after the break. Be forewarned, the trailer is the extended director’s cut and is very much NSFW.

PS4 Details Will Possibly Emerge This Month
Last Updated on Thursday, 4 April 2013 03:58 Written by Laddie13 Thursday, 4 April 2013 05:00
Rumors are abound that Sony is set to reveal more details about the much-anticipated PS4. It was widely believed that they would use E3 to finalize details or at least give us more info but now speculation is that Sony will make an announcement as early as this month. Sony likely wants to keep the hype train rolling in their favor after the not so surprising PS4 announcement this past February.
My own personal opinion is that Sony wants to have all details available and perhaps even start taking pre-orders before Microsoft announces their next console. In January Microsoft posted a countdown to E3 on its blog which most people assumed was to be taken as a countdown to the NextBox. However there’s still a chance Microsoft will also preempt E3 with their own standalone announcement. Both consoles could possibly release by the end of 2013.
Eventually I will own both consoles but my first choice and the console I will pre-order in hopes of getting my hands on at launch will be the PS4. I think a lot of gamers have similarly made up their minds regardless of announcements. So geeks, what’s your thoughts on the impending next console generation? We’d love to hear your thoughts on what will undoubtedly be a competition that in the end can only end in a win for us gamers. Read more: PS4 Details Will Possibly Emerge This Month

EA says “YES!” to more necromorphs, Dead Space 3 hitting Feb 2013!
Last Updated on Monday, 4 June 2012 06:25 Written by LoganDX Monday, 4 June 2012 03:50
Get ready for round 3 geeks! EA has made it official, Dead Space 3 is coming to consoles and PC next year! We speculated on it last month during EA’s fiscal report, hoping it was more than mere fantasy and thankfully it’s real. The necromorph plague is still raging on and only series hero, engineer Isaac Clarke, can end it for good. Mad man Clarke has crash landed on a mysterious planet named Tau Volantis, a planet that may hold the key to eradicating the nasty creeps forever! The combat will switch from the tight corridor scarefest to planet side survival.
A new addition to the series will be drop in\drop out co-op. EA is promising the co-op won’t just be the campaign with a friend because they want gamers with friends to experience extra story bits as well new gameplay mechanics. No word if the multiplayer element from Dead Space 2 is returning, hopefully the co-op will replace it so Visceral can concentrate on the core single player game, make it so scary even the toughest geek craps his pants – twice!
Expected launch for Dead Space 3 is February of 2013 and will hit the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC. Get ready for a heart transplant! Hot the break for the full press release from EA and watch for more details as we get them!
