Will a month better known for Halloween be an early Christmas for Android fanatics? The rumor mill has been churning out reports of Android Ice Cream Sandwich powered devices launching in time for trick or treating. Believed to be a rush on Google’s part, it could take some wind out of Apple’s iPhone 5 sails. Also rumored to launch sometime in September or October, the two rival OS’s would have all fall to grab cash from consumers.
The other belief for the speedy release is that November will be the two-year anniversary of the launch of the Motorola Droid, a phone widely believed to fully make Android a mobile powerhouse. Since many customers signed two-year contracts to get a cheaper price on the phone, they could potentially go to Apple’s handset and leave Android behind.

The manufacturer claims the phone will be the thinnest QWERTY capable phone and even includes a front facing camera for chatting and photos.
Motorola has built the Droid 3 with personal and business customers in mind with the bells and whistles that casual users want but also including professional services as well. GOTO Meeting, Citrix Receiver, QuickOffice, and more will allow the power user to keep up with the fast paced demands of corporate life without being stuck in an office. The Droid 3 will be a 3G phone, not LTE though. You can buy the phone online now or in store around July 14th. Hit the jump to see the full press release and peep some more pics of the beauty.
