Google’s new project dubbed Glass [Video]
Last Updated on Friday, 6 April 2012 12:45 Written by maddyEX Friday, 6 April 2012 12:45
As I trekked my way through the wide web I found this interesting little tidbit about Google’s new and to be honest, really awesome concept.
Augmented Reality Glasses. A scene right from your science fiction books may just become a reality. At their G+ page you read their stories and ideas. You can even submit your own. The team started Project Glass to build this kind of wacky sci-fi technology, one that helps you explore and share your world, putting you back in the moment and look pretty cool while you do it.
Where can we get one? I’ll take twenty, what about you guys?
Check the concept video after the break.

April Fool’s gear that should be real! [VIDEO]
Last Updated on Sunday, 1 April 2012 10:33 Written by LoganDX Sunday, 1 April 2012 11:00
It’s that time of year again, time to question everything we see on the good old internet. April Fool’s day has hit us in the collective chops and some of the gags make me angry. Angry because some of these things should be real! ThinkGeek, as always, is leading the pack with a few items that undoubtedly should exist! How about putting your Kuerig to good use by brewing up some tasty food? Pop in a K-Cup 5 Star meal and in no time you could have a delicious cup of sprinkled doughnuts, buffalo wings or even a salad. Goopy food is awesome!
Not your style? How about the Skyrim Electronic Shout Hoodie? Pull the hood up and represent the illest bloodline since the Tepes plus let it do the talking for you! The power of the Thu’um flows through your cotton armor and blasts your enemies with any of the 20 shouts from the game. The TG monkeys even spent their hard earned Dragon souls so you don’t have to! Unfortunately you do have to provide the 4 AAAA batteries.
Looking to complement your mage outfit? Want to fit in with Tron? Get your best Daft Punk on? Then you want the Technomancer Digital Wizard Hoodie. Thanks to the dual accelerometers in the sleeves and the LEDs running up the sleeves and in the hood, you can any or all of the three! By flailing your arms around in specific patterns, the LEDs will light up to represent one of ten different spells. Speakers in the hoodie will add to the authentic flavor, spitting out spell appropriate effects. Or you can take some illegal substances and rave till your legs give out. Your choice.
Google ready to take on Dropbox starting next month.

Dropbox may be the reigning king of cloud based storage but Google is rearing to plunk that shiny crown off its head! April is looking to be the month that Google Drive is floating into Android devices and PC’s, bringing 1GB of free storage, a dedicated version for Google Apps users and an API that would allow geeks using other apps to store content on Drive. Much like Dropbox, saved content would be accessible on Android units and PCs.
If Google is serious, they’re going to have to step up the storage space. Dropbox gives users 2GB gratis with the ability to earn more free space by doing things like referring friends or participating in projects like beta testing the camera upload feature. Short of doing that, Google may have settle with a comfortable coexistence with Dropbox.

There’s nowhere you can go, those rage filled fowls will find you. You will help them retrieve their absconded eggs even if that means heading to the blackest depths of Space to do it. Resistance is futile. The truth is out there. There is no spoon. Add any other tagline you want, one thing is for certain – the Angry Birds Space campaign bursts open at 4 a.m. Eastern time tomorrow. Let the shenanigans begin!
When Rovio announced the next installment in the mega hit franchise, they told us they would have some special partners along for the ride. We knew about NASA and National Geographic, now Samsung is helping to get the game on millions of their devices. To that end they’ve detailed out some rather sweet extras for their Galaxy owners.
