RIP Guitar Hero and maybe Peripheral-based Games

Yes it is true, according to a statement via G4TV, Activision has announced the drop of the in-development Guitar Hero game planned for this year. The statement from the company:
“Due to continued declines in the music genre, the company will disband Activision Publishing’s Guitar Hero business unit and discontinue development on the Guitar Hero game.”
