Customs locks down the HTC One X and EVO 4G LTE due to ITC exclusion order.

The latest victims of the Patent Wars have been quarantined and put on lockdown by customs. The One X for AT&T and the EVO 4G LTE for Sprint have been seized delayed by customs for review after the ITC dropped down an exclusion order in December. The exclusion order, in effect as of April 19th, bans the import and sale of certain HTC devices found to infringe on Apple patent(s). HTC has issued a statement, found below:
The US availability of the HTC One X and HTC EVO 4G LTE has been delayed due to a standard U.S. Customs review of shipments that is required after an ITC exclusion order. We believe we are in compliance with the ruling and HTC is working closely with Customs to secure approval. The HTC One X and HTC EVO 4G LTE have been received enthusiastically by customers and we appreciate their patience as we work to get these products into their hands as soon as possible.
Coincidence that the shipment was seized delayed mere days before the EVO 4G LTE was scheduled to launch on the Now Network? Maybe but it certainly gives Apple plenty of laughs I’m sure. What’s odd is the One X has been on sale here for some time, AT&T has been selling them in store. My brother just bought one even. So why now? Stay tuned to DHTG as we wade through the mess to get all the details!

There it is folks, Sprint and HTC have dropped the moniker we were expecting and brought in a newer, sleeker name – EVO 4G LTE. Built from aluminum space frame, the lightweight but well built phone is meant to be pleasing to the eye. Focus is definitely on design. The back will sport a red band and they’re bringing back the kick stand! Will have Sense 4.0 and Android 4.0.
The 8 mega pixel camera will have a dedicated hard camera button for that real camera feel. Rocks auto focus and will have super speed start up time. Will have an HDR mode and let in 44% more light. The flash will be a smart flash, strength of light will be set according to the distance from the object. Can shoot video and grab a quick still with the simple press of a button.
