All Rise for the new Dark Knight Rises posters

Anticipation has been building steadily ever since the first mention of Christopher Nolan‘s trilogy closer and now, to further the pain of waiting for the June release date, a new batch of promotional posters have been released. The posters show off the three primary characters of the Dark Knight Rises, with one batch set against a background with a colour scheme reminiscent of the original trailer. If this is not enough to get you excited for the Dark Knight’s return more information has been revealed Joseph Gordon Levitt’s character. There was original speculation that he may be Dick Grayson but it has been revealed that he will in fact be playing Alberto Falcone.
Falcone? You read that right! The name sound familiar because Joseph Gordon Levitt’s character is the son of Carmin Falcone, the mobster who was chained to the spotlight in Batman Begins. Could we see a vengeful son out for revenge against Batman? We can only speculate as Christopher Nolan has kept any plot details very under wraps.

Bane’s Full Costume Uncovered

As it always happens when people take creative twists from comic books or books and make them into movies, things get altered. The latest in that continuing fad of changes is the costume for Bane from next year’s expected hit Batman: The Dark Knight Rises. Bane gets a redo as he sports a wool-lined overcoat. Most fans would easily recognize that he is missing the traditional S&M outfit.
Also on the set were a variety of the tumblers that were made famous from the first two movies. The difference is that these will be set back to the original paint scheme of the first movie. It looks like director Christopher Nolan is trying to tie this final movie back to his original. See the outfit after the break!

“Cobra Commander” in The Dark Knight Rises?

So, what do G.I. Joe and Batman both have in common? Answer, Joseph Gordon-Levitt. The Inception star has now officially been cast to play a role in the upcoming Batman film, The Dark Knight Rises. Levitt rejoins fellow Inception cast, Tom Hardy (cast as Bane) as well as director, Christopher Nolan. The Dark Knight Rises will also feature once again Christian Bale (Bruce Wayne/Batman), Gary Oldman (Commissioner Gordon), Michael Caine (Alfred) and Morgan Freeman as Lucius Fox. Just like any other Batman film, when a specific member is cast, everyone is guessing is it a major role or just a supporting factor.
