Moneto to enable NFC on any Android phone.
Last Updated on Thursday, 12 January 2012 06:25 Written by LoganDX Thursday, 12 January 2012 06:25
Have you been watching your contactless using friends and sat, weeping inside? Saddened that your cell phone is ill equipped to wave itself in front of those neat little terminals and dispose of your money? Well Moneto is on the scene to dry up your tears with their new NFC MicroSD card! By mating a microSD card with a NFC radio, Moneto eliminates the unnecessary need to ditch your device for a newer, more expensive one with built in NFC.
The company has had a case out for iPhone users for a bit, one that grants them the same swipe fun. That one is a bit expensive at $80 but it does come with $10 in candy money. The NFC MicroSD card is expected to be available soon for around $30. Hit the break, check out the press release and see if you’re ready to give it a shot!

Motorola Razr…Again?!
Last Updated on Saturday, 12 February 2011 12:08 Written by Adam Warren Saturday, 12 February 2011 10:00
Well not quite, though it does look very similar. Here I was, thinking that Motorola would only be producing high-end smartphones and Droids, but then I see this phone. It is called the Motorola Gleam and will mainly be sold in Europe, though I could see it selling better in Korea or China as a house phone or something. Instead of a screen on the outside, the Gleam features a matrix LED display that flashes several messages and pictograms. The inside consists of a 2.4-inch QVGA display, a dual-band GSM radio, Bluetooth 2.1, a 3.5mm headphone jack, a microUSB charging port, a microSD slot that can hold up to 16GB, and a 2 megapixel camera. We’re hoping the price will be consistent with the features this phone carries, by the way, it will release in the first half of the year in gray, red, and some weird color called “thistle.” Read the full PR after the break.
