Injustice: Gods Among Us attempting to fix DLC fighter problems.

Besides being a kick-ass fighting game starring DC’s mightiest heroes and villians, Injustice: Gods Among Us might finally fix that annoying DLC incompatibility issue we sometimes run into. Some gamers download every fighter as soon as they become available while some bide their time and concentrate on the core combatants included in the original release. Different ways for different folks to enjoy the game, except when it comes to online brawling. Usually both parties must have the additional characters on their console even if one isn’t using them if one gamer wants to trade fists as a DLC fighter. Makes online matchmaking very frustrating and oft times demoralizing.
NetherRealm Studios, the team behind the game and the recent Mortal Kombat reboot, plans on making that irritation a thing of the past. The devs want to set it up so the fighters will download unto your console while you’re playing, leaving the necessary info ready for online war. You still won’t be able to play as them, unless you pay for them, but you would be able to play against someone who spent the cash. So explains Ed Boon, the man -
“We want to come up with a way to push all that information onto people’s machines so if I buy some character that was available for download, you would have it on your machine and I would be able to fight against you online. We’re coming up with a great automated system to make sure I can use my character against anybody and everything’s compatible.”
Here’s hoping they can pull it off and it becomes a standard feature for all online capable console games. Could you imagine if map packs were like this?

Entice yourselves with the Mortal Kombat Komplete Edition launch Trailer! [VIDEO]
Last Updated on Wednesday, 29 February 2012 07:49 Written by LoganDX Wednesday, 29 February 2012 09:00
Been sitting on the fence about picking up the Mortal Kombat reboot? Well now you have no excuse with the launch of the Komplete Edition! Taking the well received game, mixing in all of the DLC fighters (Rain, Kenshi, Scarlet and Freddy Krueger), dropping in all of the character skins and baking it to a krispy finish would be just about the best thing Warner Bros could do for fans. Instead they did all of that and then added in downloadable copies of the Mortal Kombat movie and the game’s official soundtrack, Mortal Kombat: Songs Inspired by the Warriors. That is one Komplete package!
The original version has sold over 3 million copies since its launch last year and has garnered plenty of critical and fan praise. Joining the new story mode was local and online multiplayer, the Challenge Tower, over 2 dozen fighters and a wealth of unlockable material. PS3 fans got a treat in the form of an exclusive Kratos, something that is carrying over to the Komplete Edition.
The Mortal Kombat Komplete Edition is out now for PS3 and Xbox 360. Hit up the break and have fun with the new launch trailer!

Hey Fighting Fans! Check Out The Street Fighter X Tekken Goodness!
Last Updated on Thursday, 1 September 2011 10:36 Written by LoganDX Friday, 2 September 2011 07:00
Capcom has officially unleashed the box art for their upcoming fighting game mash-up, Street Fighter X Tekken. They also gave us a few more screenshots to make the wait even more agonizing! In case you’ve been living under a rock, SXT brings favorite characters from bought franchises into an all out mega brawl. The control scheme will be easily accessible to fans of either game, nullifying any argument that you sucked because “the controls aren’t the same!”.
Sadly, the game isn’t set to release until sometime next year, followed by Namco’s Tekken X Street Fighter. After the reboot of Mortal Kombat and now these two beautiful hybrids, fighting games seem to be on a renaissance. Now all we need is a good arcade to line up around! Any fighting fans out there? Happy with the renewed interest in the venerable genre? Sound off in the comments below and enjoy the screens!

Freddy’s Back! Not In The Movies But In Mortal Kombat. [VIDEO]
Last Updated on Friday, 22 July 2011 08:11 Written by LoganDX Friday, 22 July 2011 10:00
When the latest Mortal Kombat sequel was released, there was talk of additional Kombatants being available in the future as downloadable content. First it was Skarlet, then Kenshi and eventually Rain. A fourth unnamed fighter was hinted at and even teased a bit but he has finally come out of your nightmares into reality. That’s right, the Scourge of Elm Street, Freddy Krueger will be slicing and dicing in Mortal Kombat!
Coming August 9th, Freddy will bring his signature bladed gloves and jab them straight into the faces and other body parts of the rest of the MK crew. Watching the announcement trailer, I noticed his fatalities are signature Freddy through and through. Summoning a massive fire-breathing boiler, tossing the victim in and laughing in his maniacal voice? Yep that’s Freddy. His fighting style reminds one of Wolverine, what with the bladed gloves and all. Rumors have been floating around that a certain Jason Voorhees would also be included but it seems this round went to Freddy. All they need now is the little girls in white, chanting “One, Two, Freddy’s coming for you”.
The Springwood Slaughterer will be available for 400 Microsoft points, or free with the Kombat Pass, and $4.99 on the PS Store. Hit the jump, peep the trailer and tell us, how excited are you to fight as the Dream Warriors antagonist? What about a true Movie Monsters fighting game?
