Have a Droid RAZR or the more popular RAZR MAXX and dying to join the in crowd with Android 4.0? Verizon has put your names on the list, the bouncer has pulled back the velvet rope and your membership has been approved! Big V announced that ICS is heading out to the RAZR line of devices starting…well now actually. Alongside the 4.0 upgrade will also be an update to make the phones the very first on Verizon’s network to be 4G LTE global phones!
Good news for folks looking to have the newest version of Android before the newer version comes out. Jelly Bean is presumably right around the corner and I do believe some people would like to only be one OS behind. Happy upgrading RAZR peeps, let us know how you like it! Hit the break and peep Verizon’s press release for the low down.

Droid RAZR and MAXX slurping down some Ice Cream Sandwich this week?
Last Updated on Monday, 2 April 2012 08:25 Written by LoganDX Monday, 2 April 2012 11:00
Ahhh the deliciousness that is Ice Cream Sandwich. Some folks have it already, some are still waiting and some, well those unlucky souls need new phones. Those of us in the middle are used to playing the waiting game when it comes to our Android OS updates, a few longer than others (rhymes with Shmamshmung). As each morsel of tantalizing info blasts onto the web, breaths are not held. Again, Shmamshmung would have killed off most of their users if that was the case. Even so, we still look for clues, for some sign that the newest installment in our geeked out lives will be here soon. Always a bridesmaid, never a bride.
For those running the Droid RAZR, RAZR MAXX and he HTC Rezound, all Verzion phones, this week may be your week. A clever Best Buy Mobile rep posted up a screen shot from their internal systems dating the Android 4.0 updates hitting the 4th for the Droids and the 6th for the Rezound. Plus, users are reporting they’ve gotten emails from Moto about an “early preview of a new software” for the aforementioned devices. Not the HTC, that would be silly! If you have one of those Droids that everyone seems to be looking for, watch for it on the 4th. Sorry Rezounders, you got held back for bad behavior!
Have one of these phones? Sick of waiting for Android 4.0 or any updates? Make some noise in the comments!

Verizon employees getting Limited Edition RAZRs?
Last Updated on Wednesday, 15 February 2012 08:20 Written by LoganDX Wednesday, 15 February 2012 08:20
Not content with the standard, plain old RAZR or RAZR Maxx, Verizon‘s red shirts might be getting pretty new versions of the newest Motorola beasts. What makes them different? Well, it does say “Limited Edition” on the front! The back has a red and black special pattern and there will be a number etched into the camera pod. Beyond that, nothing much has changed. The RAZR (16GB) will cost employees a cool $99 and the Maxx (32GB) will be set them back $199. Grabbing a phone will also score staffers a handy dock as well.
The new preciouses will land in April, which gives us plenty of time to find out if any of Big Red’s people will plunk down cash for a double carrier exclusive phone. Isn’t that a paradox or something? Maybe this is what causes the world to end!

It’s big, it’s thin and it’s…purple? No it’s not Sam Keith’s The Maxx but Motorola’s new Verizon phone. The gorgeous Droid RAZR is welcoming a new member to the family with the Maxx. The Maxx moniker must be from the extended battery life in this version, it’s reported to hold down 21 whopping hours on a single charge! Angry birds to the max? 32GB of internal storage, 4G capable, Android 2.3 with a promised 4.0 upgrade and a dual-core 1.2GHZ processor. All packed into a super thin 8.99 mm thin frame.
Motorola is also slated to bring out a couple different lapdocks, an HD Dock, a vehicle mount and much more. The phone is going to be hitting soon and will run $300 bucks on a new two-year contract. Curious about the new phone? Hit the jump to check the press release!
