Ninja Turtles canceled? Maybe dreams do come true!

It seems Paramount might be doing the ole backward shuffle with the Michael Bay helmed Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles reboot. They dropped the news that they have stopped pre-production on the film and are calling for an indefinite work stoppage on the flick. The studio pushed back the release date to sometime in 2014 giving some on the project hope for a 10 week only hold up.

Bay has been driving fans crazy with his “vision” for the movie: first he decided to go with the title Ninja Turtles, dropping the all important Teenage Mutant part and declaring the heroes in a half shell would be aliens instead of normal earth-born reptiles mutated by a mysterious glowing ooze. So he wants to rip apart the origin in favor of a rehashed and overused alien plot! Bay has gotten plenty shades of upset with fans, at one point telling them to “chill“, way to forget who pays for you to keep blowing crap up!

Maybe the “sodomizing” of the TMNT legacy won’t happen after all. Hopefully Paramount has decided Bay isn’t the proper fit for another big budget crashing of our childhood. I enjoyed the Transformers trilogy and all but enough is enough! Where’s my TMNT loving geeks at? Does this news warm your hearts? Are you preparing a pizza feast in celebration? Grab your bullwhips and fedoras, Indy is finally coming to blu-ray! [VIDEO]

Never mind that the fourth film in the franchise released on blu-ray, Indiana Jones is really coming to blu-ray! The Complete Indiana Jones box set will be in eager geeks’ paws this fall and will include the original fan favorite trilogy plus the 2008 Crystal Skull film packed into what I assume will be a sweet box. Young Indy fans are out of luck, no mention of the critically acclaimed television series for the “Complete” collection. Also included will be tons of special features from the famed archeologist’s storied career as well as some new tantalizing bits for the hard core fan in all of us!

Amazon already has a pre-order page up for the set with a price tag of $74.99 ($25 off list!) for the eager beaver geeks out there. Most excellent price for a classic franchise’s first hit to blu-ray! Even if you hated the Crystal Skull, you still get Raiders of the Lost Ark, Temple of Doom and The Last Crusade -finally- on the high def format it deserves!

Hit the break for the full press release and a video for Raiders, just for that nostalgia factor. Any geeks out there as happy as I am? Break it down in the comments!
