Ride to Hell coming this summer, going to put the hurt on!

RTH_Retribution_logo

Our awesome pals over at Deep Silver just pulled the curtain back on a trio of vengeance fueled games centered on the moniker Ride to Hell. Ride to Hell: Retribution stars lone bad-ass Jake Conway, a man on a mission to decimate the vicious, depraved members of the Devil’s Hand Motorcycle Club. Jake must bludgeon, blast and bleed out various degenerates in a gritty Grindhouse feeling world. Watch the trailer after the break to get a small idea of what you should expect. Retribution is expected to grace the PC, Xbox 360 and PS3 on June 25th.

Gamers looking for a bit of small-sized fun can play Ride to Hell: Route 666 or Ride to Hell: Beatdown. Route 666 is an arcade game for XBLA or PSN that tasks players with recruiting fellow bikers on a quest to conquer the infamous highway. The game will also be out in June 2013. Not much is rightly known about Beatdown except that is a mobile “rock’n'roll brawler”. Once we get more details, we’ll hit you awesome geeks in the brain hole with the info.

After watching the trailer, I can’t wait to see more about Retribution! It reminds me of a underlooked gem by the name of Wet, published by Bethesda. We’re talking babes, guns, blood shed and intense shooting action! Retribution is on my “Must See More” radar now. Hit the break, peep the press release and watch that awesome trailer! Oh yeah and screens!

CES Daily Round Up Day 2

Pinball Machines, iPhone cases and Gaming Tablets oh my! The amount of iPhone cases at this year’s CES is nearly sickening. Everything from bamboo to Marvel Superhero’s and skin-tight waterproof suites. It’s become very obvious that this year’s CES is a tradeshow and not so much a product announcement platform. 3D is out for the most part and audio is a big factor this year. Monster (Creators of Beats by Dre) abounds alongside every rapper/hip hop artist out there promoting a new pair of headsets. No real feedback has come back on most of the overpriced, gaudy audio devices but if you are looking for something to style with your newest pair of kicks the options abound.  Your money is probably better spent on a pair of Skullcandy headsets giving you a better bang for your buck. Hit the break for more…

Borderlands 2 getting new level cap, third play through.

Vault hunters rejoice! Gearbox has tipped off fans with new and insanely awesome Borderlands 2 news. Just like the first game, dedicated players will be able to burst through the level 50 cap to an as of yet unannounced cap. The great thing is that instead of tying the level increase to a paid DLC pack like the first, it will be enabled through a software update. Much better deal for hardcore but cash strapped players. As of now, Gearbox estimates 80 percent of Borderlands 2 players haven’t hit the daunting level 50 ceiling.

Another bit of intel shows that Borderlands 2 will have a third play through. If Gearbox is planning on adding another play through option, does this mean the cap will be a hefty increase? I hope so because the game is riding quite the wave of positive reviews, thanks in no small part to the developers massive post launch support. Think of all those Golden keys they keep handing out on Twitter and Facebook. Golden Keys that keep enabling obsessive players with rare loot. It’s rather quite addicting actually.

The sad part is Gearbox isn’t looking to add these new changes to the game until after the fourth DLC pack, Sir Hammerlock’s Big Game Hunt, drops on the various marketplaces January 15th. Plenty of time to get that 80% down geeks!

Stuck on a vicious island? Watch the Tomb Raider: Survival series. [VIDEO]

Been shipwrecked? Lost on a deserted island? Guess what, your CoD skills won’t cut it! Before you pee your khakis, dial yourself into the Tomb Raider: Guide to Survival videos. Yes it’s assumed you have a device capable of watching videos and you have WiFi but no cellular service.

The Tomb Raider videos show fans what to expect with the franchise reboot. Things like upgrading gear, scavenging for scraps, hunting to live. I’m digging the base camps actually. The place where Lara can upgrade items, enhance her skills and just take a breather. The hunting aspect has me intrigued as well, especially after the animal stalking experience in Assassin’s Creed III. Plus using the bow like a silent predator is going to be just a blast, I can feel it! Who’s the prey now mofo? Another new bit is her Survival Instinct, which feels just a tad like the Instinct in Hitman: Absolution. It helps players solve puzzles and look for hidden extras by greying out the environment and highlighting key elements.

Dealing with a less than confident Lara Croft, shaping her into the gaming icon she is the single most awesome part of the game. Seeing her beaten but not broken, going from Lara Croft: Scared Kitten to Lara Croft: Tomb Raider. Everything we’ve seen so far has me more excited for a Tomb Raider game than I’ve been since part II. Tomb Raider will hit PS3, Xbox 360 and PC on March 5th, 2013.
