Look Out Angry Birds, Here Comes The Bad Piggies

Rovio the creators of the phenomenon that is Angry Birds is set to releases Bad Piggies. There has been countless sequels to the series starring the birds but Bad Piggies hands over the spotlight to the pigs this time. There will be no flinging of pigs, this physics based game will involve moving the pigs from one point to another on the map to collect items and reach your goal. Bad Piggies gameplay is much more like Cut The Rope than Angry Birds.
Each level starts with a build section that allows you to create the contraption you will use to move your pig and gather swag before reaching your destination. However not to worry it’s not Minecraft and only a few build options will be available keeping the game simple and easy to play a quick game on the go.
Rovio’s last game was Amazing Alex which didn’t fare as well as the Angry Birds series. Only time will tell if the pigs have the stuff for success but Bad Piggies has all the right ingredients: fun gameplay, memorable characters based of a beloved franchise, fun sounds and gameplay that will appeal to all ages. The goal is to get 3 stars on every level but if that proves too difficult for some of the younger geeks you can still proceed to the next level.

Angry Birds: The Pigs Will Have Their Revenge

In the few short years since Angry Birds was released it has become a cultural phenomenon. Heck even my dog and cat both have toys based on the series. Our feathered friends have traveled to space and beyond but when do the pigs get their revenge? Rumors are that Rovio is looking to add the option to play as the pigs in the next chapter of the oh so addicting series. There would be a variety of pigs on board to help you defend the eggs the pigs pilfered from the birds. Keeping with the theory if it ain”t broke don’t fix it, the game will still be physics based and involve the catapulting of pigs at birds who try to get their eggs back into the now famous wood and stone structures.
Maybe the pigs were wrong to steal the birds eggs but I think it’s due time the pigs get to fight back for the pig popping genocide the birds have subjected them to. If speculation holds true look for the new game to be released before the end of the year. Rest assured Don’t Hate The Geek will inform you of all the details if and when they become available. I wonder what the new game will be called, Pissed Off Pigs perhaps?
