Ready to use the Force on some steel spheres? Well Zen Studios has a new game coming just for you! Star Wars Pinball will take all your favorite areas, characters and lightsabers to populate a brand new three table download. We’re talking a staring lineup of Luke Skywalker, his pappy Anakin, series favorite bounty hunter Boba Fett and Ahsoka Tano.
“It’s been over 30 years since Star Wars, videogames, and solid state pinball all burst onto the entertainment scene, and their popularity endures today. We’re excited to be combining all three for the very first time,” said Neil Sorens, Zen Studios’ Creative Director. “Our designers are huge Star Wars fans, and you can expect every detail in every table to reflect their passion for the Star Wars universe.”
Star Wars Pinball will be available for Androids, iDevicesand Windows 8 phones via their respective app stores. Console gamers will be able to download the tables to integrate seamlessly for the Xbox 360′s Pinball FX 2 and the PlayStation 3′s Zen Pinball. Geeky Game Review: Avengers Chronicles

We here at DHTG don’t hide our schoolgirl like crush on Zen Studios and their Pinball FX 2\Zen Pinball. The detailed tables, the crisp art, the attention grabbing bits for the fans – is there any reason to hate on the stellar series? If you said yes, you’re doomed to play MK Advance for the rest of eternity!
The latest pack of tables to attach to the series is the Avengers Chronicles. Zen tossed down a four pack of goodness based upon a quartet of the Earth’s Mightiest Heroes‘ most notable adventures – The Infinity Gauntlet, World War Hulk, Fear Itself and the movie tie for the billion dollar juggernaut Avengers movie. All four for one low price spells win in my book!
Enough with the fangirl love fest, let’s get to the review. Fans of the Marvel super team will be familiar with the stories behind the tables but even non-Marvelites need not know the backstory to enjoy Zen’s latest offering . As per the usual, the developers spent a considerable amount of time adding in all the eye candy to keep peeps glued to the TV long after they lost their last ball. Frustratingly that happened to me more times than I want to admit. Yes, your intrepid review got caught up in the pretty, pretty lights and dropped the ball.

Avengers overload! New Pinball FX 2\Zen Pinball Avengers tables inbound! [VIDEO]

There may not have been an Avengers game to coincide with the movie’s release but Zen Studios is making sure we get our Avengers fix anyways. Adding to the already announced Avengers Chronicles for Zen Pinball and Pinball FX 2 will be a full fledged movie based table! We’d seen a bit of the table in the previous trailer but now it’s official. The table used bits and bob directly from the movie to keep it as authentic as possible.
To keep this table exciting, Zen decided ordinary steel balls wouldn’t cut it – no sir. They have customized spheres of justice decorated to resemble each team member of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes. Specific challenges await each ball, challenges that must be met before players can activate Wizard mode. The table shows off that Zen attention to detail, with the heroes and villian running around clashing, Nick Fury glaring from the center of the table, Cap assembling the team and more eye candy than you know what to do with!
The Avengers Chronicles will hit Zen Pinball (PSN) and Zen Pinball FX 2 (XBLA) later this year. Hit the jump for screens, the trailer and more!

We here at DHTG are very much in love with Zen Studios’ Pinball FX 2 and Zen Pinball. Until recently, we’ve only been able to enjoy the games on our home consoles. Not anymore though because Zen Pinball THD has launched on mobile platforms, you know Android and iOS. Designed to run on higher end devices, like Android 2.3 Tegra units, Zen Pinball will rock your handheld experience. If you geeks go download it now, Zen will toss in the first table, Sorcerer’s Lair, for free! Android Market users can download it here, App store users can go get in on the love there.
