I Love Pandora Radio!!

I have to tell you that I am in love with Pandora radio. Not only do I listen all the time on my phone but also have it downloaded to my computer. I love just having all that music. So one day I started thinking there had to be a way to hack Pandora. Sure enough, thanks to the folks at hak5, they created a app to do just that. Now this may be old hat for some of you but for me it was pure gold. The program allowed me to rip a full song in about 5 seconds and then dump it and move on. If this is something that you like then you know exactly what I’m talking about, if not, then get your self a Pandora account and download a program called Saver2.
Again, all credit for this hack is courtesy of the good folks at hak5.org. They have a great product here. It operates differently from a peer-to-peer connection. It uses different ports to go out and grab a song. Pandora actually pieces songs in a temporary folder on your computer and when that song is played it is deleted. The way that Saver2 works is that it just reroutes that temp folder into a folder on your computer that doesn’t delete the song. So after about 3 hours you can have 2000 songs or so. Great!

FM Radios Mandatory in Cell Phones???

Looks like the govt just keeps on getting their hands into everything, literally. It looks like Congress wants to make it mandatory for every cell phone, smartphones, PDA and any other potable electronics to have an FM radio built in it. Most new smart phones already have this feature but it would be new to any standard “flip models” for all carriers.

This actually may be a good idea when you think about it. First for the entertainment factor. Of course there are the Pandora and Slacker Radios out there, but there are still some decent FM stations out there, isn’t there. Also for late breaking news or weather emergencies would fit in perfectly. The quality may not be the best, but above all this just adds another decent feature coming to all phones.
