Lost Planet 3 hitting June 2013

Capcom is set to bring another snow covered adventure in the Lost Planet franchise. Lost Planet 3 will tell the tale of Jim Peyton traipsing around E.D.N. III and his discovery of the Snow Pirates and their hidden sanctuary. Is Jim going to be stuck between the vicious Akrid and the Pirates or will he find a new place among the land’s secret warriors? Hopefully they make more fans happy with this installment as Lost Planet 2 took a lashing.
The publisher is delivering Lost Planet 3 for the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC June 25th. Hit the break and peep the full press release. Check out some fresh art as well.

Engineers, necromorphs and insanity, oh my! Is EA doing Dead Space 3?

Could EA be working on Dead Space 3? If we’re to read much into their recent earnings report, yes they are. Briefly mentioned among a round of back patting and investor assurance was a look to the future and Dead Space was there. No concrete word if it is Dead Space 3 but it was wedged between the next Medal of Honor and Need for Speed so it’s highly probable.
The Dead Space franchise has given the reigning survival horror champ, Resident Evil, something to sweat over. The two console titles have caused players more scares, chills and restless nights than many were prepared for. The feelings of dread and “what’s around the corner?” never left the minds of gamers fighting the hordes of Necromorphs as engineer Isaac Clarke in the vast vacuum of space. Toss in the creepy Scientology like Church of Unitology (cult), low ammo and kick ass weapons and it’s easy to see why it spawned a sequel – possibly another one.

Capcom readies the Resident Evil: Chronicles HD collection for PSN.

Need even more Resident Evil to celebrate the rapture? Well if the world doesn’t end before June, you can grab the Resident Evil: Chronicles HD Collection for the PlayStation 3. Combining The Umbrella Chronicles and The Darkside Chronicles into one digital care package, fans that missed them on the Wii can now dive into the back story of the whole sordid mess caused by Umbrella. Five different periods of the RE timeline are playable as well as fan favorite characters like Leon S. Kennedy, Claire Redfield, Jill Valentine and super star Chris Redfield.
No confirmation on exact release date nor price but Capcom has stated that the games will be available for purchase separately later. Just when that later we don’t know. Between this, Revelations, Operation Raccoon City and RE 6 sprouting in 2012, we should just call it the Year of Evil. Especially if the end of days does happen!

New Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City shows the Brutality of it all! [VIDEO]

This sure isn’t your daddy’s Raccoon City! This is a meaner, more brutal city with new foes and new players. The newest trailer showcases some of the game’s more vicious moments as well as more fluid movement for the characters. Reliving this time period sans tank control is worth the price of admission alone! Watch through the trailer and get excited to go back!
Resident Evil: Raccoon City is slated to hit the Xbox 360 and PS3 on March 20th. PC gamers will unfortunately have to wait until May 18th to get their RE on. The PC version will support NVIDIA 3D Vision for the most lifelike blood splatters you can get from slaughtering the T-Virus freaks! Hit the break and check out the bloody fun for yourselves!
