Ron Perlman becomes Hellboy once again but not for a movie!
Last Updated on Friday, 6 July 2012 08:32 Written by LoganDX Friday, 6 July 2012 08:31
Ron Perlman is a class act folks. A little boy named Zachary is sick, so sick that the Make-A-Wish foundation helped him fulfill his grandest wish. What could be possibly want? Oh just to meet the one and only Hellboy! Make-A-Wish contacted Spectral Motion, the special effects company that worked on Hellboy as well as X-Men, Fantastic Four and others. They got on the horn with Perlman, who jumped at the chance to don his horns and trench coat to make one little boy’s day.
Not only did Perlman hang out with Zachary, taking pictures and just being awesome, he also brought in a feast of burgers, fries and shakes fit for the BPRD‘s ace operative. Family and crew alike got to grub with Hellboy and his newest partner. Afterward, the makeup folks turned Zachary into a mini-Hellboy, complete with his own stubby horns. We here at DHTG salute all of the kind folks involved and especially Ron Perlman for taking the time to make one fan’s hard life memorable!
Hit the break to peep some more pics of the event including a shot of Zachary with the famous horns.

Geeky Giveaway: BadAss on blu ray!
Last Updated on Wednesday, 6 June 2012 01:02 Written by LoganDX Thursday, 31 May 2012 05:30
Winner picked, check thy emails geeks!
The beard has become real! Anybody who’s ever seen the Epic Beard Man video on Youtube might be surprised to find out it was turned into a movie. Okay, inspired a movie if you want to be technical. The movie is real and it stars perpetual badass, Danny Trejo. Mr. Machete himself takes on the gangs, the baddies and the corrupt cops in the city that had forsaken him years ago upon his return from Vietnam. Now his new found fame prompts him to find the killer of his best friend since those crooked cops won’t. And maybe clean up the city while he’s at it.
Kicking criminal butts and taking the law into his own hands, Danny Trejo (Machete, “Sons of Anarchy”) ignites the screen in the gritty, violent and enthralling film Bad Ass. Inspired by the viral video of a vigilante citizen taking action into his own hands, Bad Ass also stars Ron Perlman (“Sons of Anarchy,” Hellboy) and Charles S. Dutton (Alien 3). Bad Ass tells the story of decorated Vietnam hero, Frank Vega, who returns home only to be shunned by society. It’s not until 40 years later when an incident on a commuter bus makes him a local hero and he’s suddenly celebrated once again. But his good fortune ends when his best friend, Klondike, is murdered and the police aren’t doing anything about it.
Nothing can really top a full tilt action flick with Danny Trejo crushing skulls and blowing crap up! Grab a couple buds, some tasty refreshments and a bucket of popcorn then sit back to watch the craziness unfold. Hit the break to shoot in some entries as well as check out more films that looked too fake to be true.

Danny Trejo is….Bad Ass! [VIDEO]
Last Updated on Wednesday, 2 May 2012 11:08 Written by LoganDX Thursday, 3 May 2012 07:00
I know most of you have seen the Epic Beard Man clip on YouTube. The one where a grizzled old white man and a mouthy black man get into a war of words on a bus that ends up with Grizzly rearranging Mouthy’s face? Don’t lie, I know you have. It became one hell of a sensation on the net, such a big thing in fact that some chaps decided to make a movie about it. Wait, what?
Danny Trejo steps into the shoes of Epic Beard Man, now named Frank Vega, a retired Vietnam vet trying to live life after being mistreated by society when he came back from the war. Now in his senior years, Vega finds himself thrust into the spotlight when he lays the smack down on some punks during a commuter bus ride. Earning the nick name Bad Ass, Vega becomes a source of hope for his community but like all good things, it takes a turn for the worse when the police refuse to investigate his best friend’s murder.
Bad Ass is perfectly suited for Trejo, he can make a Cosby sweater look dangerous. The movie might be a great testosterone filled release for the action junkie in all of us. Explosions, knock down drag out fights, crooked (?) cops, Ron Perlman and loathsome bad guys? Yeah, I can’t wait! Bad Ass is slated to hit Blu ray and DVD June 9th.
Hit the break the watch the trailer as well as the YouTube clip that inspired it. Careful though, the second one might be a tad NSFW.

Sons Of Anarchy Cast Doing Charity Ride For C.O.D.E.

Bikers have long held a reputation for being macho scumbags, mean bullies pushing scrawny geeks into the sand, kicking kittens into rivers, stealing your girlfriend. While some have earned that reputation, most just like hopping on a chopper and enjoying the scenery. Some even do charity rides for many benevolent foundations and to help raise awareness for a myriad of causes. Now we can add fake bikers with that bad reputation to the latter category.
The cast of FX’s hit show, Sons of Anarchy, have joined up with the Boot Campaign for a Boot Ride and Rally on August 28th. The cast will take a ride through the scenic Hollywood Hills starting and ending up at the Happy Ending Bar. The riders will swap out their normal leather boots for standard issue combat boots to show support for returning and serving military personnel. 200 combat boot wearing bikers filling Sunset Strip will certainly be quite the sight.
