Angry Birds: The Pigs Will Have Their Revenge

In the few short years since Angry Birds was released it has become a cultural phenomenon. Heck even my dog and cat both have toys based on the series. Our feathered friends have traveled to space and beyond but when do the pigs get their revenge? Rumors are that Rovio is looking to add the option to play as the pigs in the next chapter of the oh so addicting series. There would be a variety of pigs on board to help you defend the eggs the pigs pilfered from the birds. Keeping with the theory if it ain”t broke don’t fix it, the game will still be physics based and involve the catapulting of pigs at birds who try to get their eggs back into the now famous wood and stone structures.
Maybe the pigs were wrong to steal the birds eggs but I think it’s due time the pigs get to fight back for the pig popping genocide the birds have subjected them to. If speculation holds true look for the new game to be released before the end of the year. Rest assured Don’t Hate The Geek will inform you of all the details if and when they become available. I wonder what the new game will be called, Pissed Off Pigs perhaps?

Resistance is futile. The truth is out there. There is no spoon. Add any other tagline you want, one thing is for certain – the Angry Birds Space campaign bursts open at 4 a.m. Eastern time tomorrow. Let the shenanigans begin!
When Rovio announced the next installment in the mega hit franchise, they told us they would have some special partners along for the ride. We knew about NASA and National Geographic, now Samsung is helping to get the game on millions of their devices. To that end they’ve detailed out some rather sweet extras for their Galaxy owners. New Update to Angry Birds: Seasons Inbound! [VIDEO]

Those poor Angry Birds just can’t seem to catch a break! The furious fowl are constantly engaged in a vicious battle of revenge against those nefarious pigs. Between the original Angry Birds and Angry Birds: Seasons, Rovio Mobile has captured the conflict and placed it in the palms of swine hating gamers worldwide. Now Seasons will be getting another update, this time in the form of Summer Pignic. Cute name, huh? Unlike the previous versions, this iteration looks to supply one bird for players to eliminate all the porky purloiners with. Madness, you say? Hit the jump, watch the clip and see for yourself.

Rovio to Look to Billing Apps

Rovio Mobile, known for the hugely popular Angry Birds game, is now looking to start developing software that would give users options for payments. Right now, the industry is earning around $4 billion dollars a year, and users have the options of payments directly to Apple or Google.
Rovio is looking at rolling out the payment software in 2011, probably quarter one or two. According to Peter Vesterbacka, head of Rovio’s business development in North America, Rovio is wanting to do this to “give operators some revenue, compared to none.” Read more: Rovio to Look to Billing Apps
