This is a question that I’m sure plagues all of us on an almost daily basis. However you’re minds can be put to rest as artist Jed Henry has re-imagined some of video games’ greatest characters in the style of Japanese Ukiyo-e paintings, depicting the likes of Samus and Link as samurai’s. The collection thus far features adaptations of the likes of Samus, Kirby, Mega Man, Link, Simon Belmont (from Castlevania) and games like Street Fighter (Jed offers his apologies to Ken fans for accidentally leaving the character out),Mario Kart and Donkey Kong. The most recent addition to the series is a spectacular re-working of a Pokemon battle.
You will be able to purchase prints of his art as of August 1st when he will be starting a Kickstarter. For now though you can visit his Facebook page for details on future work and also his blog where he posts his art.
