Samsung’s newest tablet is ready to swoop in and steal some iPad thunder and it’s ready to do it soon. Sammy unveiled the Note 10.1 earlier Monday, they wisely decided to expand their phablet Note into a better slate than the previous (and currently under patent litigation by Apple) Galaxy Tab. Tucked inside that svelte frame is 1.4 GHz quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM, a 5-megapixel backside camera with a front facing 1.9 megapixel camera and a 10.1″ WXGA LCD display. Software side we’ll see Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) and Sammy’s S-Pen suite of productivity tools. The models hitting this month will be either be WiFi only or WiFi with HSPA+. Sometime later this year should also bring forth a 4G LTE model. No pricing yet but expect some news soon.
As a current Note owner, I’m pretty excited about the 10.1. The multiscreen multitasking looks to be damn promising, especially when we usually have more than one screen open while working. It even comes with Adobe Photoshop Touch so peeps can get their pic editing on! The Smart Stay from the Galaxy S III makes an appearance on the 10.1 as well as Pop Up Play, a video player that brings videos over whatever you’re doing. Plus, a bigger S-Pen!
Hit the break and check out Samsung’s press release and a promo video highlighting all the features. Could this be the one to dethrone the iPad? Hit those comments geeks!

Let the floodgates open, Samsung’s Galaxy S III hitting major carriers at once!
Last Updated on Monday, 22 October 2012 06:52 Written by LoganDX Monday, 4 June 2012 03:23
It might be something close to a miracle but fans of Samsung’s Galaxy line can grab the incoming Galaxy S III on any of the major U.S. carriers, all at once! After the carrier dictated GS II launch, one that had Verizon snubbing the Android powered beauty, Samsung has a much more unified release of the newest super phone. I don’t know how Sammy was able to get the five families carriers to all agree to play nice but whatever it was, they get geek points for doing it!
Besides the damn near simultaneous launch, we’re hearing the actual hardware is going to stay consistent with each carrier. No more hoping and praying that slick case you saw on your buddy’s Sprint GSIII will fit your AT&T version! Take note folks, this is something Apple has always done better than Android. Pricing may vary between the different carriers but most are looking at staying with the $199 for the 16GB model on a two-year contract price point. There will also be a 32GB monster available for around $249 but that one looks to an online only option.
The already announced features are sticking around as well. Android 4.0, Smart Stay, S-Voice, S-Beam and TouchWiz will be standard across the board, everyone gets the same tasty toys. Hardware specs are also expected the stay the same – dual-core 1.5GHz processor, Gorilla Glass 2.0, beefy 2,100 mAh battery and 2GB of RAM. Color conscious geeks have their choice of body hues, Pebble Blue and Marble White.
Each of the carriers will begin pre-orders as soon as June 5th, U.S. Cellular is bringing up the rear with pre-orders going live on the 12th. AT&T hasn’t announced exact dates yet, they just have a preview page up. Get with it Ma Bell, you have customers! Hit the break to peep Samsung’s full presser and watch your fave carrier for your chance to get your own!

No more leaks, no more false starts, the Samsung Galaxy S III is official! Unveiled at Samsung’s Unpacked event in London, the device looks to be everything to everyone. Slammed into its sexy 4.7 ounce body is a huge list of features like a 4.8 inch Super AMOLED HD display running at 720p, a choice of 16GB or 32GB of storage (64GB version future bound), 1.4GHz quad-core processor, 1GB of RAM, 8 megapixel back side camera, 1.9 mega pixel front facing camera with face recognition and HD recording, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC, Android 4.0 and a partridge in a pear tree.
The software enhancements are numerous, many of them “Smart” additions. Smart Stay is pretty slick as it keeps the display from turning off while its being watched, S-Voice is an advanced voice recognition program that may knock Siri down a peg or two, Best Photo grabs a burst of eight photos and picks the best one for your uploading needs, S Beam combines Wifi with NFC and floating videos keeps videos hovering on the top of other windows and lets users resize them. Juice hungry users will be happy to know the 2100mAh battery will be removable and includes wireless charging.
More after the break, including the new commercial and a full list of features…
