Die Hard getting a 25th Anniversary blu ray set!
Last Updated on Tuesday, 4 December 2012 05:13 Written by LoganDX Tuesday, 4 December 2012 06:30
John McClane is getting pretty old geeks. It’s hard to believe that 25 years ago we first heard the famous “Yippe ki yay mother F****r” spouted in defiance to the villainous Hans Gruber. Four films and every time we get excited when we feel his busted down, blown up, shot and bleeding ass close to popping off “Yippy ki yay”. Even when they tried to PG-13 it up with the fourth movie, thank the movie gods for unrated discs.
I for one have fond giddy memories of every, yes every, Die Hard film. John McClane will always be “that guy”, making us feel safer while popping a butt load of lead into the bad guys. It’s only fitting that he gets a new blu -ray set commemorating his quarter century in the pop culture spotlight. The set will include 5 discs of McClane goodness: all four films plus a fifth disc full of special features.
The DIe Hard 25th Anniversary Blu Ray set is scheduled to hit shelves on January 29th of next year. Hit the break to peep the full special features list!

Ron Perlman becomes Hellboy once again but not for a movie!
Last Updated on Friday, 6 July 2012 08:32 Written by LoganDX Friday, 6 July 2012 08:31
Ron Perlman is a class act folks. A little boy named Zachary is sick, so sick that the Make-A-Wish foundation helped him fulfill his grandest wish. What could be possibly want? Oh just to meet the one and only Hellboy! Make-A-Wish contacted Spectral Motion, the special effects company that worked on Hellboy as well as X-Men, Fantastic Four and others. They got on the horn with Perlman, who jumped at the chance to don his horns and trench coat to make one little boy’s day.
Not only did Perlman hang out with Zachary, taking pictures and just being awesome, he also brought in a feast of burgers, fries and shakes fit for the BPRD‘s ace operative. Family and crew alike got to grub with Hellboy and his newest partner. Afterward, the makeup folks turned Zachary into a mini-Hellboy, complete with his own stubby horns. We here at DHTG salute all of the kind folks involved and especially Ron Perlman for taking the time to make one fan’s hard life memorable!
Hit the break to peep some more pics of the event including a shot of Zachary with the famous horns.
