Let the floodgates open, Samsung’s Galaxy S III hitting major carriers at once!

It might be something close to a miracle but fans of Samsung’s Galaxy line can grab the incoming Galaxy S III on any of the major U.S. carriers, all at once! After the carrier dictated GS II launch, one that had Verizon snubbing the Android powered beauty, Samsung has a much more unified release of the newest super phone. I don’t know how Sammy was able to get the five families carriers to all agree to play nice but whatever it was, they get geek points for doing it!

Besides the damn near simultaneous launch, we’re hearing the actual hardware is going to stay consistent with each carrier. No more hoping and praying that slick case you saw on your buddy’s Sprint GSIII will fit your AT&T version! Take note folks, this is something Apple has always done better than Android. Pricing may vary between the different carriers but most are looking at staying with the $199 for the 16GB model on a two-year contract price point. There will also be a 32GB monster available for around $249 but that one looks to an online only option.

The already announced features are sticking around as well. Android 4.0, Smart Stay, S-Voice, S-Beam and TouchWiz will be standard across the board, everyone gets the same tasty toys. Hardware specs are also expected the stay the same – dual-core 1.5GHz processor, Gorilla Glass 2.0, beefy 2,100 mAh battery and 2GB of RAM. Color conscious geeks have their choice of body hues, Pebble Blue and Marble White.

Each of the carriers will begin pre-orders as soon as June 5th, U.S. Cellular is bringing up the rear with pre-orders going live on the 12th. AT&T hasn’t announced exact dates yet, they just have a preview page up. Get with it Ma Bell, you have customers!  Hit the break to peep Samsung’s full presser and watch your fave carrier for your chance to get your own!

Galaxy S Advanced, Samsung’s newest mid-smartphone.

Samsung seems eager to combine Apple’s regurgitation with Nintendo’s rehashing abilities in the quest for the next average phone. The GSA (sounds like a bad government agency) has specs that hover between the original Galaxy S and the newly polished Galaxy S II. Dealing out a 1GHz dual-core processor, 768MB of RAM, a 5 mega-pixel camera, 16GB of storage and that beautiful Super AMOLED screen, it is a pretty thing. The display is a tad smaller at 4 inches with a 400 x 800 resolution inside a curvy body.

Right now Samsung is keeping it with Gingerbread a.k.a. Android 2.3 and nothing is mentioned about upgrading to Ice Cream Sandwich. Given Samsung’s tainted reputation with OS upgrades, assume it might get ICS but it might be a couple months before Google announces Android 5.3. Of course, that’s IF the phone comes stateside as so far no plans to bring it here have been announced. The device is rumored to be a global sensation starting in Russia before hitting other parts of Europe, Asia and Africa. Hit the jump and check out the full Samsung press release.

Samsung Galaxy S II HD LTE says HI to FCC.

The FCC recently had a phone run through their hands that turns out to be the Samsung Galaxy S II HD. The model numbered SHV-E120L phone will rock the 4.65 inch 1280 x 720 resolution screen and a 1.5GHz dual core processor plus NFC. The handset will closely mirror the the upcoming Galaxy Nexus but will run Gingerbread and sport the TouchWiz overlay versus the Galaxy Nexus’s vanilla Ice Cream Sandwich.

There is a photo withholding period as requested by Samsung. That just means Sammy doesn’t want any photos leaking out for the next 180 days of their precious bundle of joy. Let’s hope we don’t have to wait quite that long to find out pricing and carrier details. Hopefully non-Verizon users will get this Galaxy Nexus clone in the near future.

Everyone has been holding their breath waiting and waiting, reading and reading well after the Samsung press release yesterday your waiting is over. The Samsung Galaxy S II is now confirmed for a release date of September 16th for $200 (with new contract) on Sprint. It will be folowing not far behind on T-Mobile and AT&T. Verizon does not look like they are jumping on-board with this one but who knows what the future brings. The specs on the device have pretty much stayed with what all the earlier articles have stated. The Sprint version will be rocking a 4.52″ AMOLED display, coming in slightly larger than the other two launches on T-Mo and AT&T. Looks as if they all will be rocking their respectible 4G or equal to and have 16GB on-board as well as take up to a 32GB Micro SD. The Galaxy is holding the lovely phrase “thinnest smartphone” as it is coming in a little thinner than a pencil.  Check out some of the pics in the gallery, as well as the full press release after the jump and let us know if you will be picking one of these bad boys up.
