UberTwitter And Twidroyd Suspended By Twitter
Last Updated on Sunday, 20 February 2011 02:50 Written by Adam Warren Sunday, 20 February 2011 06:00
Two of the biggest Twitter clients, Twidroyd and UberTwitter, were recently suspended for violating Twitter’s for violating its policies. Apparently Twitter suspends hundreds of apps daily that violate their policies. The reason these two clients were called out by the company in particular is because of all the users that could possibly be affected. It turns out, that even Echofon was suspended, but it’s not quite as big as Twidroyd or UberTwitter. UberMedia, they are the guys that own UberTwitter, Echofon, and Twidroyd, have “completed the changes, and new apps are currently being posted to their respective stores.” UberTwitter will change their name to UberSocial, chances are it’s because of copyright infringement. Twitter says the reason they removed these apps was because the violations may “include, but aren’t limited to, a privacy issue with private Direct Messages longer than 140 characters, trademark infringement, and changing the content of users’ Tweets in order to make money.” Read on for the full text release from Twitter and UberTwitter.

George Lucas uses a “Jedi Mind Trick” to Force Company to Change its Name, Literally
Last Updated on Monday, 30 August 2010 02:46 Written by PieceOfSith Monday, 30 August 2010 04:00

“The force is strong with this one.”, especially true with George Lucas. The brain behind the Star Wars franchise recently filed a trademark infringement lawsuit with Jedi Mind, a company that allows its users to control their computers through brain waves, no I am dead serious.
It appears lawsuit started in May 2009 when Lucasfilm learned of the company using the term, “jedi mind tricks”, for their business. A cease and desist letter was sent out, followed by another in September 2009 since the company did nothing to change its references, contrary to JM stating they would comply to Lucasfilm’s requests.
Today on then Jedi Mind’s website, they just sent out a statement saying they would change their name to Mind Technologies INC, to avoid any infringement issues regarding Lucasfilm.
In case you are wondering how can I run my computer through my brain waves (still seems funny I actually said that) is MTI uses specific type of wireless headsets to send brain waves to the computer, even working to play certain video games.
I haven’t always spoken the greatest on George Lucas (due to the last Indiana Jones catastrophe), I will now think twice. Be afraid, be very afraid.
