Sick tat scores fan a free year of Netflix.

How much do you think the above tattoo cost Twitter user TheRealMyron? $50? $30? A case of beer and a pack of gum? Probably not much by looking at the quality of the ink but it did score him a free year of Netflix for his extreme dedication. He jokingly asked to be put in a commercial but the Netflix Twitter account sent him over a free year subscription instead. It seems other Netflix twitter fans took Myron to task for his “work of art” but does he care? Nope because he got himself a free year!
I certainly love my Netflix, even though I wish they’d get in shape on Pawn Stars, but I can’t imagine letting my drunk buddy rake my skin like that. Enjoy your year friend, put that free money towards a better tat!

TweetDeck Android dying off.

In many ways, doubling down on the TweetDeck web experience and discontinuing our app support is a reflection of where our TweetDeck power-users are going. Over the past few years, we’ve seen a steady trend towards people using TweetDeck on their computers and Twitter on their mobile devices. This trend coincides with an increased investment in Twitter for iPhone and Twitter for Android –– adding photo filters and other editing capabilities, revamping user profiles and enhancing search. That said, we know this applies to most of our users –– not all of them. And for those of you who are inconvenienced by this shift, our sincere apologies.
You geeks catch that? The popular TweetDeck app for Android devices is going the way of the dodo. Thanks to many of the draconian and developer unfriendly measures Twitter is taking (to force us to use their official app) the mobile app will lose support. It’s not just TweetDeck Android but also TweetDeck Air and the iPhone app as well.
Power users who sit on the computer will still be able to use the web interface for TweetDeck, it’s just us mobile users getting the shaft.

Myspace Making A Comeback Maybe

Remember Myspace? No, yeah? Fewer and fewer people do. Well it’s making a comeback again or at least trying to. Myspace’s main shareholder Justin Timberlake is featured front and center on the new Myspace logon screen. Which you can do so with your Facebook and Twitter logon’s.
The site has been completely redone and is far from the Myspace we had in high school, the site boasts free unlimited music and videos. Once logged in you’ll notice it’s a pretty metro layout with an odd side scrolling view rather than up or down. You can connect to different people and hitting the discover button will take you to what’s a pretty mainstream list of artist from Bieber to Adele. It’ll be interesting to see what comes about of the new Myspace.
