The Dark Knight has sure gotten a lot of fanfare as of late. With The Dark Knight Rises official trailer being recently released as well as the official villain of the film, Bane, showing off what he will look like in the film, Batman sure is getting people excited about his latest ventures. Batman’s latest excitement is caused of course by the latest film, The Dark Knight Rises, being released next summer as well as the latest video game, Batman: Arkham City, releasing October this year. With Bane and Catwoman being the villains in the film, in Arkham City, there is an entire army of big name villains to go up against the Caped Crusader. With that being said though, let’s focus on one villain, that being Bane. One project will put up the giant against Batman, but the other will put Bane actually helping Batman (yes you heard that right).

Today has been a big day for the Superman re-boot film project. It is now officially been titled, just Man of Steel. We here at DHTG have been speculating that this would be the title for the film, and now it is officially been titled. We already know that Henry Cavill will play Clark Kent aka Superman in the film as well as Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Kevin Costner as Jonathon Kent and Diane Lane as Martha Kent. It is also known that the character of Ursa will be in the film, one of General Zod’s minions that were introduced to fans in Superman II. Now, Zack Snyder, director of the film, has gone on record that Zod would NOT be involved in the film. Then it has been rumored that Warner Bros. indeed wanted to include General Zod in the film and wanted Viggo Mortenson to play him. Today, it is now official that General Zod WILL BE the principal villain in the film, but it will not be Viggo Mortenson playing him. And the lucky actor is???? Quick, do me a solid and think back to when you were a kid. When you went to a toy store and were looking for your favorite action figure, who was it, the good guy or the villain? If I had to bet any amount of money I would bet that anyone would try to get the “cooler” looking villain rather than the typical good guy action figure. Now back in present adult days, nothing has changed.
Let’s face it, it is much cooler to find out who will be playing a villain in a movie rather than the save the day hero. With that said, we here at DHTG have reported numerous stories on the latest Superman project called, Superman: Man of Steel, with a scheduled release in December of 2012. One of the reported villains to hit the film was Ursa, right hand to General Zod. Well it looks like her boss may appear in the film as well, contrary to what director, Zack Snyder, has stated numerous times, “Zod will not appear in this film.” Well, it looks like either Snyder or the brass over at Warner Bros. Studios has turned their tune around and possibly given the green light to arguably one of the best villains in the entire Superman universe. So who is up for the part of Zod, why Aragorn of course, duh? Read more: LOTR Star Possibly to Join Superman “Reboot”, Kneel Before Zod

“You have no idea what I am capable of.” This is a classic line from one of the most popular shows ever to hit the CW Network. Who said this; it is none other than Lex Luthor from Smallville. Michael Rosenbaum, who plays Lex Luthor in the popular TV show, has been absent from the show for the last few seasons. With so many new story lines and of course introductions to many popular villains such as Doomsday and Zod, Rosenbaum’s Lex Luthor has been missed by many Smallville enthusiasts and are wondering if he would making a return since the series is about to end this May.
Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but there have been many reports that Rosenbaum is not interested in reprising his role, and haircut, to the series finale. But hold on folks, what’s that in the sky? Is it a bird, is it a plane, no it’s a news story. This news story is now confirming that Michael Rosenbaum will return for the Smallville series finale as Lex Luthor. Yes Smallville fans, your prayers have been officially answered.
