The Walking Dead Escape with Merle

Warning, this article contains spoilers! You have been warned.

The Walking Dead was only halfway through season 3 when it left us wondering what would happen to Merle and Daryl after they were labeled terrorists. A lot of what happened at Woodbury was a little confusing and disappointing, but the prison offered many interesting moments.

Rick and the gang still had enough bullets and smoke grenades to rescue Daryl and, to no ones satisfaction, Merle. Merle actually helps them escape by helping them get through the fence. Despite Merle’s help, Rick knew that bringing him along would probably end in disaster, especially after the special treatment Glenn and Maggie received. Merle, seeing that the group won’t take him, decided to leave. Daryl, not wanting to lose his brother, sticks with Merle. Not even his worries for Carol could stop him. My Favorite Games Of 2012: The Final Installment

I have been having a tough time narrowing my favorite game of 2012 down to just one selection. It’s not that 2012 was particularly a great year in gaming but rather I have difficulty making decisions and sticking with them. Instead I’ve singled a few titles that in fact could at any given time be swapped out for my GOTY depending on my mood. Before we get to that I’d also like to mention a few other games I’ll call the runners-up.

First Call Of Duty Black Ops 2. I’m not ashamed. I’m a huge fan of the COD series and I have been from the start. Is it perfect, of course not but I’ve given up trying to figure what it is my fellow FPS fans want from the series. I enjoy the multiplayer and I’ll be playing it for months to come, probably right up until the new installment comes out. Treyarch did well tweaking MP while still giving us what made the games successful in the first place. In my opinion the best COD maps will always be the original Infinity Ward’s but since that is no longer an option Treyarch has proved itself with some of the better maps of the series.

In case you missed The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct gameplay video. [VIDEO]

The-Walking-Dead-Survival-Instinct-26-10-12-001

The holidays can be quite the hectic affair so it was easy to miss the new gameplay video for Activision Blizzard’s The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct. The demo itself is pretty rough but gives us a good luck at the stealth aspects the developer is working on. Unlike other zombie survival games, you aren’t going to have a bucket load of bullets and a backpack of high powered weapons. Instead it seems we’ll spend more time with melee weapons like axes, sledgehammers and brain scratching knives.

While we don’t know much about the game, we do know it revolves around Daryl Dixon and his psychotic brother Merle as they fight through the recently uprisen Walkers. The goal is for the duo to make it alive to Atlanta, which we know they do since we meet them there in the T.V. series. That covers most of what we know except Terminal Reality is handling development chores and the game is slated for a 2013 release.

Hit the break and peep the video. It’s a bit bloody so it might be NSFW.
