Star Wars Officially Going 3D, Starting 2012
Last Updated on Tuesday, 28 September 2010 11:59 Written by PieceOfSith Wednesday, 29 September 2010 01:00

The force is still strong with us fans, 33 years strong. With today’s official news, it will get even stronger. Starting in 2012, every single Star Wars movie (1-6) will be re-released in theatres, this time in glorious 3D.
The launch will start in early 2012, beginning with Episode 1, The Phantom Menace. Each episode will follow, in numbered order, in the upcoming years. Each movie takes about one year to get full “3D’d” but will be worth the wait. Of course if this venture doesn’t succeed at the box office, LucasFilm will stop, call it a guess though, it WILL succeed.
Im a self admitted “Star Wars Geek” and proud of if. I still haven’t taken the plunge to seeing a new release at a movie theatre jn 3D, this may be the one when I do. Love to hear some more features on the re-release on un-released footage or something. We will post more info when its available. So in closing, “The Force Will Be With You, Always.”

George Lucas uses a “Jedi Mind Trick” to Force Company to Change its Name, Literally
Last Updated on Monday, 30 August 2010 02:46 Written by PieceOfSith Monday, 30 August 2010 04:00

“The force is strong with this one.”, especially true with George Lucas. The brain behind the Star Wars franchise recently filed a trademark infringement lawsuit with Jedi Mind, a company that allows its users to control their computers through brain waves, no I am dead serious.
It appears lawsuit started in May 2009 when Lucasfilm learned of the company using the term, “jedi mind tricks”, for their business. A cease and desist letter was sent out, followed by another in September 2009 since the company did nothing to change its references, contrary to JM stating they would comply to Lucasfilm’s requests.
Today on then Jedi Mind’s website, they just sent out a statement saying they would change their name to Mind Technologies INC, to avoid any infringement issues regarding Lucasfilm.
In case you are wondering how can I run my computer through my brain waves (still seems funny I actually said that) is MTI uses specific type of wireless headsets to send brain waves to the computer, even working to play certain video games.
I haven’t always spoken the greatest on George Lucas (due to the last Indiana Jones catastrophe), I will now think twice. Be afraid, be very afraid.
