Beats Audio Showing Up In HTC Runnymede 2.
Last Updated on Saturday, 3 September 2011 11:29 Written by LoganDX Saturday, 3 September 2011 05:00
Looks like HTC isn’t wasting time after grabbing a huge chunk of Beats Audio. First the Vigor was rumored to have the technology and now a leaked spec sheet for the Runnymede 2 lists it as well. Running a 1.5ghz Snapdragon processor, the handset will sport a 4.7 inch WVGA Super LCD screen and either 16gb or 32gb of storage. Rounding out the specs are an 8 megapixel camera, a 1.3 megapixel front facing camera, 720p HD video recording, Bluetooth 3.0 and WiFi.
Packed inside the box will also be a Beats Solo headset, which normally runs $179. Audio fiends will need them to drown themselves in the SRS surround sound Beats will punch into their ear drums. No pricing or release details have been announced stateside but once we find out, you geeks will be the first to know!

Got A 3DS? Get Your Netflix Streaming On!
Last Updated on Tuesday, 16 August 2011 09:05 Written by LoganDX Wednesday, 13 July 2011 10:12
With all the turmoil surrounding Netflix lately, many a gamer may have forgotten about Nintendo’s plans to add Instant Streaming to the company’s 3DS. Starting today, a new update will be available for owners of the handheld in the Nintendo eShop. I’m curious as to how well the video service will translate to the system and if the 3D will help, hinder or work at all. All gamers will need is a strong WiFi signal to watch their favorite Pokemon movie or Power Rangers episodes. If they’re on the go, Nintendo and AT&T have partnered up to provide approximately 10,000 hotspots nationwide that should be up and running.
With the proliferation of Netflix streaming over so many devices, the service has truly gained some serious subscribers. With the 3DS having sold over 3.6 million units, there is potential for the company to add a significant amount of new subscribers. Any geeks out there with a 3DS and ready for the streaming? Hit the break and let us know.

Skype Adds Video Chat to Its Android App.
Last Updated on Thursday, 30 June 2011 03:18 Written by LoganDX Thursday, 30 June 2011 03:18
Do you like to video Skype but depressed about the lack of video on your Android powered phone? Well guess what, your day is here! Today Skype updated their Android app so power users can chat on the go over your Wifi and 3G connection to pretty much any other Skype user out there. Although you must be running Android 2.3 or higher, have a front facing camera, a supported handset and only make one on one calls. No multi video for you industrious geeks!
Beyond that, those Skype folks touched up the regular front end of the app for those us stuck on Android 2.2. The main menu is new, allowing for easier access to contacts, to muck around with the personal bits on your profile, check your Skype Credit balance and use the dial pad to make calls. For those that like to share, there’s a handy mood box to tell your friends whats going on in your world. Oh yeah and you can send SMS messages from the app!

After all the rumors, all the wide eyed wonder, Sony’s NGP has a proper name – the PlayStation Vita. The PSVita was officially announced at Sony’s day one E3 2011 press conference. The quad core monster is expected to ship at the end of the year and in two flavors, the WiFi only and the 3G/WiFi model. The WiFi version will cost $249 and the 3G/WiFi model will set gamers back $299 and will be available exclusively at AT&T.
The PSVita has true dual analog thumb sticks (a feature sorely missed from the PSP), an OLED touchscreen, a backside touchpad, front and rear facing cameras, and six axis motion sensors. A slick line up of launch games were also presented at the presser including LittleBigPlanet, Modnation Racers, Uncharted: Golden Abyss, Street Fighter X Tekken and a new hack and slasher called Ruin. The PSVita looks good so far but do you geeks think it will be a day one purchase? Hit the jump to see the full press release.
