You just have to love video games. You can hop around as a red suited plumber, shoot aliens as a mega enhanced soldier, save humanity as the last of your kind and now apparently you can live out all your deep seated Matrix plus hot chick fantasies. Majesco is looking to help you out with their upcoming downloadable title Girl Fight this year.
Published by Majesco Entertainment, Girl Fight allows players to choose from an array of sexy fighters to battle their way out of THE FOUNDATION, a shadowy, scientific organization looking to weaponize the psionic fighting abilities of the cast of gorgeous, all-female fighters. With unlimited funding and no moral or ethical compass, THE FOUNDATION collects its test subjects from all around the world, often abducting and plugging women into their virtual construct known as The Mainframe. To make it back to reality, the women must utilize their fighting and psionic abilities in an all-out battle for survival.
Sounds like a gonzo fighter full of off the wall chicks beating the snot out of each other. Inside the
Matrix Mainframe. Where do I insert my money?

If you’ve delved into Pinball FX 2 at all then you know that from time to time, Zen Studios will run tournaments. Simply enough, play the named table and get your best score, easy as pie. Your tournament score adds into your SuperScore, which is just like getting that high score on a pinball machine. This time the magnificent sphere slingers at Zen have decided on the Spider-Man table as the latest tournament spot.
The top scorer in this tournament will snap up a geek worthy prize pack consisting of 4,000 Microsoft Points, a slick Spider-Man tee shirt from Mighty Fine and a year subscription to Marvel Digital Comics. The next two spots will nab 1600 Microsoft Points, a year subscription to Marvel Digital Comics and that spiffy Spider-Man shirt from Mighty Fine. On top of that, random players will get the hook up on some random swag from Zen. The tournament will run from July 29th until August 12 and all winnners will receive a message on Xbox Live after the tourney has ended. I know I’ll be warming up my web shooters and The Geek will flail alongside me, cowering from the Green Goblin. Get out there, slap Doc Ock around and try to take home some kicking Marvel gear! The Gunstringer Will Pack Fruit Ninja Kinect And More In A $40 Package.
Last Updated on Tuesday, 16 August 2011 09:06 Written by LoganDX Saturday, 23 July 2011 12:00
Our friends over at Twisted Pixel are bypassing the usual Xbox Live Arcade route for their new game, The Gunstringer. Heading straight to full retail release, the game will be priced at a wallet friendly $40. Not only that but the game will be packed with some sweet downloadable content, like Fruit Ninja Kinect. One of Microsoft’s Summer of Arcade games, Fruit Ninja Kinect, based on the mobile sensation, has gamers slicing fruit with their bare hands with what else, their Kinects. Also included will be some wild launch day dlc named The Wavy Tube Man Chronicles in which players must take down the son of The Wavy Tube Man, an early boss in the game. Lastly, if pre-ordered at select retailers, purchasers will get tokens for two free game related avatar props.
The Gunstringer is a Kinect only title starring an undead marrionette sheriff, looking for revenge and retribution on those that betrayed him. Players will guide the ghoulish six shooting death dealer using their hands, moving him with the left and shooting with the right. Part on-rails shooter, part platformer, all Twisted Pixel. Watch for this wacky western on Septmember 13th and hopefully our review right around there as well. Hit the jump and check out the full press release and tell us what you think. Make sure to follow Twisted Pixel on Twitter for all the insane goodness.
Look Out! Ms. Splosion Man Has TMS!
Last Updated on Thursday, 21 July 2011 04:23 Written by LoganDX Thursday, 21 July 2011 06:00
Okay, well TMS stands for Title Managed Storage, which is Twisted Pixel’s clever way of turning up the heat on Ms. Splosion Man players. The fiendish developers will use the TMS service to allow gamers to hop into some new challenges. The goal, besides not throwing your controller, is to finish well enough to get on the leaderboards. Highest ranking player will win some special goodies. These challenges are available for anyone who dropped some coin on the game and are available right on the main menu, as long as the contest is still going on. Yes, that’s right, each challenge has a window of time for players to sign on, play and qualify. It might not be quiet as bad as another acronym that ends in ‘MS’ but on the other hand, this IS Twisted Pixel.
The first challenge is based upon the goofballs over at Destructoid with some sweet D-Toid and Ms. Splosion Man swag on the line. The top three spots will win themselves a prize pack consisting of a D-Toid bobblehead and a light up statue of our pink protagonist, as well as shirts and posters. One random sploder will win score a Twisted Pixel prize pack, whatever that may be. Remember when I said earlier there’s a time frame? It’s a short one here, only ten days! Get cracking because the contest ends July 31st. As a side bonus, a new DLC level for Spolsion Man is available to download, for free! Twisted Pixel claims more themed challenges are on the way, how about a DHTG level? Hit the break and check out the press release and some new pictures, including the swag-tastic prizes!
