Microsoft pulls a 180 on the Xbox One DRM!
Last Updated on Wednesday, 19 June 2013 04:00 Written by LoganDX Wednesday, 19 June 2013 04:00
It’s an official truth, Microsoft has reversed their position on their burdensome DRM policies for the Xbox One! Gone are the need to check into Xbox Live every 24 hours, goen are the region locks, gone is the restriction on used games and gone is the inability to share disc based games with friends in real life. Gone, gone, gone!
The team at Microsoft claim they heard our comments – complaints – and took them to heart. It’s a massive reversal of policy for a company to take but if they want to have any chance in next-gen, they needed to do it. What’s sad is that it came to this, that they thought we as gamers would willingly take this crap and swallow it. Anyone change their minds about the Xbox One after this? Hit me up in the comments. After the break you can read the whole announcemment for yourselves!

PS4 Will Require A PlayStation Plus Subscription To Play Online
Last Updated on Tuesday, 11 June 2013 03:38 Written by Laddie13 Tuesday, 11 June 2013 03:38
In a move that came as no surprise, Sony somewhat sneakily threw in that the PS4 will require a subscription to its premium service Plus, in order to play games online. If you are currently a PlayStation Plus member, your subscription will carry over to the new console as well as be available to all of your older Sony consoles including the Vita and PS3.
Having been a member of the Plus service since it began, I can tell you that it is well worth the cost and offers top-notch games for free, discounts, early beta invites, automatic updates and cloud saves. This will not affect the playing of single player games on the PS4 and unlike Xbox Live you will still be able to access and use all of your media services without subscribing to Plus.
Upcoming additions to the Instant Game collection Of Playstation Plus will include, Don’t Starve, Outlast, Secret Ponchos and DriveClub PS Plus edition. Read more: PS4 Will Require A PlayStation Plus Subscription To Play Online

Metro: Last Light was just released and publisher Deep Silver is making sure they keep that disc tucked inside your system of choice well after you’ve beaten it. A Season Pass is now available and, like all before it, gives faithful fans a savings over buying the individual DLC packs.
Some of the upcoming DLC includes the Tower Pack, said to be a challenge for Metro Vets, The Chronicles Pack, The Faction Pack and the Developer pack which will grant players a unique set of skills for them to wander the devastated world. What’s notable is that theses will all be single player as Metro has no multiplayer. A single player shooter, oh the humanity!
Hit the break and peep the full deets on the Season Pass. You can get yours now on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC for $14.99 or 1200 Microsoft Points.
