Resident Evil 6 shambles along with more creepy info.

Confused on some of the details surrounding the latest entry in Capcom’s flagship survival horror series? Well fear not intrepid geeks for Capcom has dialed us in on some new info. Let’s start with the easy, the year is 2013 and where we saw Chris Redfield in the trailer was the fictional Chinese coastal town named Lanshiang. Poor Chris is dealing with the after effects of something traumatic and personal that happened six months prior. He’s still whooping zombie butt despite his problems, which is good because humanity may just need him. Leon S. Kennedy is still a government hound dog working to eradicate the Biohazard menace. He finds out from another agent, Helena Harper, that she’s the reason the newest incident is occurring. What happened? What did she do? We’ll find out – eventually.
The zombies are zombies but they aren’t T-Virus zombies, instead these are new zombies. Zombies that can pick up a shank and stab you. Zombies that run and jump. These aren’t your O.G. PlayStation zombies. A new monstrosity is being introduced to keep players on their toes – J’avo. Meaning “Demon” in Serbian, the J’avo are still somewhat humanoid. They can understand speech, equip weapons and even use teamwork. They possess the ability to regenerate after being damaged but if they become damaged too much, body parts come back as mutated appendages. Yikes!
Capcom is looking to revamp that combat structure in this version. Shooting and moving will be possible as well as sliding, rolling and taking cover. Heck you can even bash skulls with an enhanced melee! We still have nine months to go before we can hop back into the shoes of the intrepid bioterror fighting heroes. November 20th will birth the game on Xbox 360 and PS3. Hit the break and catch some gorrific new screens!

Face Off In Ultimate Marvel Vs Capcom 3 This Fall.
Last Updated on Wednesday, 20 July 2011 07:15 Written by LoganDX Wednesday, 20 July 2011 04:00
I’m not sure if this is supposed to came as a shocker but Capcom has announced an updated version to its latest brawler, Marvel vs Capcom 3. Dubbed Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3, this re-release looks to add twelve new fighters to the roster, gameplay tweeks, eight new stages, and Spectator mode. Four of the fighters have been announced so far, two Marvel and two Capcom. The first of the Marvel contenders is The Spirit of Vengeance himself, Ghost Rider. Joining him will be the sometimes misunderstood Avenger’s archer, Hawkeye. Jumping into the Capcom camp will be the old school adventurer, Strider and Ghosts & Goblins Firebrand. The next few months will most likely see the confirmation of the eight leaked fighters; Capcom’s Frank West, Nemesis, Vergil and Phoenix Wright and Marvel’s Dr. Strange, Nova, Iron Fist and Rocket Raccoon. Let’s hope Vergil isn’t as cheap a fighter as he was in Devil May Cry 3!
The new stages and details of the gameplay tweeks haven’t been unveiled yet but I imagine they will keep even the most hardened fans happy. Of the most interest will be Spectator Mode, where gamers can hop online and watch others play. Used properly, players can learn the skills of some of the best fighters and add them to their own current skill set. Just like football players watching game films to improve their game.
Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 is set to release this November for the Xbox 360 and PS3 at a budget friendly price of $39.99. Hit the jump and check out the full press release. Any geeks out there looking forward to this? Anything else you want to see added to the Ultimate edition? Let us know in the comments. Read more: Face Off In Ultimate Marvel Vs Capcom 3 This Fall.

Geek Review: Ms. Splosion Man [VIDEO]
Last Updated on Friday, 15 July 2011 11:33 Written by LoganDX Friday, 15 July 2011 11:00
Time to dust off those platforming skills and ingest copious amounts of energy drinks because Ms. Splosion Man has sploded onto the Xbox 360. Birthed from the manic minds at Twisted Pixel, Ms. Splosion Man is a thumb wrenching, nerve-wracking monster platformer just like Splosion Man. The old adage “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” kinda works here. Not to say that the developers painted Splosion Man Pink and tossed a pretty bow on him but the fundamental mechanics are still here.
The core gameplay of the Splosion games is simple in theory but very tough to master. At their heart, they’re side scrolling puzzle platformers but instead of jumping, the main character “splodes”. Sploding is multipurpose, acting as a means of locomotion, as a minor combat ability and as a general wrecking ball. By allowing the player only three in air splodes, Twisted Pixel keeps gamers on their toes by making them use the splodes logically. This also ties the puzzle aspect in because the missus can’t just go jumping all willy-nilly.

Kick Your Weekend Off With $2 Game Rentals From Redbox.

Oh Redbox, how addicting you are. I give you a single dollar, you spit me out a dvd for the night or I can spring for blu-ray for a buck fifty. I watch your magical movie and then I return it to any of your thousands of locations. ANY …OF… THEM. You made renting movies a more streamlined process with online reservations and a searchable database. Now you’ve gone too far, you want two of my dollars for video game rentals? Are you mad?
I kid of course, as Redbox offering video game rentals is a smart move and one that many expected sooner than this. The company had previously dabbled in the game rental business but they are rolling out the program on a larger scale. The offerings are not extensive but they are mostly all current releases, not games from 2009 or so. L.A. Noire (PS3 only), Duke Nukem Forever, Dirt 3, and Red Faction: Armageddon are just a few examples nesting inside those wonderful machines. They even have have some Wii titles mixed in there for variety’s sake.
