Odds of world ending on 12/21 in a zombie apocalypse? 2000:1!

Curious on how the world “will end on 12/21″? The odds aren’t with it being a zombie apocalypse after all. Our friends over at Deep Silver, makers of Dead island, contacted book maker Paddy Power for the official odds and they came back with 2,000:1. It’s more likely we’ll all vaporize in a nuclear holocaust (1,500:1) or disappear in some sort of environmental disaster (1,000:1).
Zombie lovers can rest assured that they have a better chance of decapitating the undead than watching an asteroid take us out (3,000:1) or fending off hordes of human enslaving aliens (5,000:1). Curious to the odds on the world seeing the sunrise on 12/22? Paddy Power puts the odds at 1:1000 for us non-believers.
Deep Silver is laying odds on us wiping the floor with the rotting corpses of the deceased in the upcoming Dead Island: Riptide instead of in real life. Do you blame them, they are busting their humps to give us the ultimate in co-op blood filled zombie killing experiences. No matter how you feel, hit the break and check out the official world ending press release!

Xbox getting Karaoke this holiday season, might still play games.
Last Updated on Sunday, 25 November 2012 03:08 Written by LoganDX Sunday, 25 November 2012 03:08
Microsoft has announced they’ll be partnering with the Karaoke Channel (there’s really a Karaoke Channel? I knew drunks and lonely Japanese businessmen loved it but a whole channel?) to bring a new app to the Xbox 360 just in time for holiday parties. Knowing most of us won’t be up for buying yet another rhythm based game out right, the team decided to allow users to treat it like a seedy motel and pay by the hour. No download will be necessary, the app itself will stream the songs and lyrics straight to the console. No need to delete the other “entertainment” apps MS has brought on.
The nice part about the app is that players will buy blocks of time versus particular songs and the app will rotate in a selection of free songs for the cheapskates among us. Oh yeah and your avatar gets in on the fun as well! Nothing has been set in stone as far as release date and time purchase prices but Microsoft says we’ll be seeing it soon. Stay tuned for the inevitable YouTube videos of people singing along horribly to “Call Me Maybe”!
