The Walking Dead: “Say the Word” Review

Note: Huge spoilers! You have been warned.
A lot has happened in just four episodes of The Walking Dead season three. People died, people fought, and people (namely Rick) are losing it. This episode was a nice breather after so much chaos. Thankfully, nothing major went down at the prison, with the baby needing some attention and Rick basically out of it. Daryl was probably the best person to watch the entire episode. The baby needs formula, he’s off with Maggie to search for some. Not only does he help find the formula, he is the one that feeds the baby as well, which was a really pleasant scene. I can’t remember a more touching scene. The closest thing is probably when Rick and Carl were looking at the deer at the end of season 1, that is until Carl got shot. Daryl even finds time to stop by Carol’s grave and place a flower there. I know Carol wasn’t shown dead, but if she ever shows up again, who’s to say she won’t be a zombie. It would be just like when they finally found her daughter in season 2. With Rick being anywhere but with the group, it was good that Daryl was there to lift the mood a little bit when Carl named off all of the women who have come and gone as potential names for his sister. One last thing on Daryl. He knows how to sport a poncho.
