The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Officially Coming to the Nintendo Switch

written by Jordan Cobb January 13, 2017

We can never have too much Skyrim. The recent remaster of the epic RPG fantasy has made the game even more popular than when it originally came out back in 2011 and it seems everyone is still very much playing it. I’ll admit I’m still playing my original PS3 copy of the game since I got very distracted on my first playthrough with film school and all and I pretty much just restarted with a new character. Only had three giants kill me so I’m doing pretty well right now.

But one question on everyone’s minds about the fifth game in the Elder Scrolls series was if it was coming to Nintendo’s newest console, the Switch. Footage of the game was shown during the reveal video of the Switch back in October. Well wonder no more as it is coming to the Nintendo Switch. Good old Todd Howard himself came onto the Nintendo Switch stream last night and officially announced that it’ll come to the newest console and you can see it for yourself below!

Hooray, I can slay dragons as I make my to my younger brother’s wedding!

No launch date for Skyrim on the Switch has been announced, but I’m pretty sure it’s guaranteed to go fast when it does come out.

The Nintendo Switch will launch on March 3 for $299 (US).

What’s your reaction to Skyrim coming to the Switch? Is it going to be one of your must-own games for the console? Are you even interested in the Switch? Let us know in the comments below!
