Timeless, a new time traveling show coming this fall

NBC, the writers, of Supernatural, and the producers of Blacklist have announced a new series coming in fall of 2016 called Timeless. The trailer went live on the 15th of May 2016 and it simply looks amazing.

The last time we have seen a full TV show from America that involved time-travel (not including the mini-series 11-22-63) was Quantum Leap (1989-1993). So look out Doctor Who, you may have competition.

From what we can see from the trailer we know that Historian Lucy Preston, Major Sergeant Wyatt Logan, and Mason Lark – who seems to be part of some unnamed project at a university – follow Garcia Flynn to 1937, two years before World War II. But just in time for the Hindenburg incident.

Timeless 1937

The Head of the University claim that Garcia Flynn went back in time to change history. However, what if he was the entire reason history was made? Like the set points in time from the Doctor (Doctor Who) that happened just because he would alter something in time or the moments of Quantum Leap where Sam said something that changed or created the future.

There is also a level of diversity in this show as well that we haven’t seen in a long time. This will add in some interesting points as one of the main protagonists is African-American going into 1937, when rights were still sketchy. In fact, in the trailer, our protagonist is put into jail and him shouting several popular people at the police man who threw him into jail.

“I hope you live long enough to see Michael Jordan jump, Michael Jackson dance, Mike Tyson punch, really just any black guy named Michael! Because the future isn’t on your side!” –Mason Lark.

All in all, this show looks like it is going to be amazing and full of drama, action, romance, and even twists that no one will see coming. What are your theories on time travel or how you believe this show is going to go? Let us know in the comments.
