After the teaser trailer dropped yesterday in prep for the beginning of E3 this year, EA released Titanfall 2′s offline single-player mode ahead of schedule to reveal the protagonist as well as a release date.
The trailer was a little bit cheesy but the story looks amazing and goes into more detail about what the world is like behind the pilots and mechs. Chad Cooper, a rifleman forced to recover a Titan from a dying comrade, bonds with his AI and maneuvers around the world of Titanfall.
A big gripe about the first Titanfall was the lack of choice and lack of any real campaign, looks like the creators were listening to fans and dropped a whopping trailer sure to appease those grumbles. The official release date is set for October 28th of this year going up against DICE’s Battlefield 1 and Activision’s Call of Duty Infinite Warfare.
Another change EA made to the sequel is that this title is no longer a Microsoft exclusive, it will be available for all major platforms.
