Later this year theaters everywhere are going to be packed to the gills when the sequel to Star Wars: The Force Awakens is released but its only just now that we’re knowing what might be coming.
It was announced on the official site for the franchise that Episode VIII is now known as Star Wars: The Last Jedi.
Given that Luke Skywalker was known as the last Jedi throughout The Force Awakens, that certainly means we’re getting much more than a small appearance from Mark Hamill. Though no doubt that’s not going to stop fans from further speculating as to what all the title of the film could mean. Could also have something to do with Daisy Ridley’s Rey and her sensitivity to the Force. Oh there is just so much to think about until this December.
It also is certainly interesting to see Star Wars in red font as opposed to its traditional yellow font, possibly hinting at a darker story ahead in the galaxy far, far away.
What do you think of the title, geeks? Like it, love it, or hate it? What do you think will happen in the sequel? Let us know in the comments below!
