Hold the Phone! Are Tom Holland and Zendaya really dating?

Spider-Man Homecoming stars Tom Holland and Zendaya have finally decided to speak out about those dating rumors. A few weeks ago, rumors started about if the two were dating or not. It seems like they decided to have some fun with those rumors.

The two shared some playful banter on Twitter that did not quite confirm or deny. While they did not come out and deny the rumors, the tweets suggest that the two may just only be friends. However, the rumors have not stopped since neither star has denied dating. Of course, this would not be the first time that co-stars have dated after shooting together. And especially not the first time two Spider-Man co-stars have dated.

During the shooting of the Sam Raimi directed Spider-Man, stars Tobey Maquire and Kirsten Dunst started dating each other. However, the two broke up before filming for Spider-Man 2. Sam Raimi was worried that the break up would affect the chemistry between the two stars. Raimi soon found out the worry was for nothing. Raimi even said that he knew nothing of his two stars dating. And of course Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone dated for four years after starring together in The Amazing Spider-Man. It makes sense that people would want to see Tom Holland and Zendaya date considering Spider-Man’s history.

Whether they are dating or not, Tom Holland and Zendaya are two of the hottest stars right now. With Spider-Man Homecoming such a big hit, these two are going to be around for a while. And those dating rumors? Well, I don’t think those are cooling down any time soon. Can you blame anyone? People love seeing a true Hollywood love story. Although most of the time, they don’t have a happy ending. In the meantime, we will all keep hope alive.
