Fall is around the corner and that means there are plenty of fall foods to choose from. However, does everyone notice how pumpkin takes over everything? Pumpkin spiced lattes, pumpkin spiced rum, and even pumpkin spiced pumpkin seeds are taking over most grocery stores now.

Let’s take a walk down memory lane and visit the best fall foods of all time.

And yes, not one of these have a stitch of pumpkin in them.

Apple Cider

Apple Cider has been a good go to drink well before the days of Pumpkin Spiced Lattes. I remember the good old days of trick-or-treating and keeping my hands warm with a nice warm cup of cider. Also, you can make plenty of adult boozy versions of this tasty drink as well. A toast to apple cider!

Apple Butter

Speaking of toast, apple butter goes really great on toast! And just about any other food you can think of. Definitely one of the top foods of fall.

Peppermint Tea

Now arguably, this could be more of a winter food. However, when that first hint of cold air hits, I fire up my kettle and give this drink a whirl.

Hot Chocolate

And don’t forget to add the marshmallows! Mmm! Most folks wait all year for a cup and fall is a perfect time.

Caramel Apples

I’d rank this tasty fall treat as my number one! Try it plain or try it with numerous toppings. If you’re not feeling fruit, I’m sure we could count melted caramel as it’s own tasty fall treat, right?
