Transformers 4: Age of Extinction is bigger than any critic!

No I have not seen it yet. To be honest I really have no desire to. If it was on late night on TV I might give it a watch. If someone said they had it and wanted to stop over and show it to me…maybe if I had nothing else going on, but pay a single dollar to see it…nah I’m good. There are many of you out there that feel the same way I do. I have seen the posts and comments over on our Facebook page. It seems all of the negative feedback and feeling about Michael Bay have no effect on real world and real world money. Transformers 4: Age of Extinction is going to be one of the top grossing movies of all time.

As stated by Rentrak’s Senior Media Analyst Paul Dergarabedian,

“The world was Optimus-Primed and ready for the release of the fourth film in the “Transformers” franchise as “Age of Extinction” posted massive global numbers with $201.3 million from just 37 international territories and $100 million in North America for an astonishing $301.3 million worldwide debut. China contributed nearly half of the international total with a $90 million representing a record for the largest opening weekend for a foreign film.”

That is a a ton of cheddar. Now like I said no matter how you feel about the other three Transformer movies from Revenge of the Fallen to Dark to Dark of the Moon have brought in over a billion, yeah you read it, a billion dollars! That’s even with some of the worst cinematic effects and acting I have ever seen in some of them. To prove that this is happening check out the Rotten Tomatoes review and score of the newest at a whopping 17% below.

As you can see there isn’t anything to stop the Bay train. Why would he stop ruining movies from our child hood when this kind of money is coming in for them? You can call me a fan-boy, you can say my expectations are to high, you can say its great kids these days are seeing characters from our era…do it. During all of that take a look at Samurai Optimus riding on the back of something that in no way resembles a Dinobot..do all of that on your way to see Megan Fox as April O’Neil and some human faced Ninja Turtles. See what I mean?

I am not saying don’t see the movie. I am not saying don’t love the movie. Just take a step back and ask why. Leave me your comments below and keep spoilers out please. Geek
