I, like many of you, fell in love with Christopher Nolan’s work while he sat at the helm of The Dark Knight Trilogy. He has since expanded his catalog with films like Interstellar and Inception. His latest venture, Dunkirk, is a movie about The Battle of Dunkirk during World War 2. Check out the first trailer below!
This looks like an amazing movie based on the trailer alone. I wasn’t aware of Nolan’s project until recently, but Warner Brothers has released an official synopsis:
A group of soldiers lead by Corporal “Tubby” Bins (John Mills), stranded in France, must make their way to the shores of Dunkirk in hopes of a rescue. Back in Britain, Charles Foreman (Bernard Lee), a newspaper reporter, desperately tries to raise awareness among the public of the horrible reality of the war. When the British navy calls for all civilian ships to aid in a rescue, Foreman takes out his own small boat and attempts to bring Tubby and his men home safely.
Dunkirk’s cast is led by Nolan alums Tom Hardy and Cillian Murphy. The film is slated to be released on July 21st, 2017 from Warner Brothers.
What do you guys think of the trailer? Are you big Christopher Nolan fans? The Dark Knight Trilogy is probably my favorite film franchise of all time, so I’m fully on board with pretty much any project he touches. We’d love to hear your thoughts on the new trailer, so join in on the conversation in the comments below and tell us what you think!
