One year ago, today, CD Projekt RED released Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. Since its release the game and developers have won over 250 game of the year awards, making Witcher 3 the top award winning game of all time. In celebration of the one year anniversary of its release, CD Projekt RED has released a full trailer for the upcoming (and final) expansion: Blood and Wine.
When the official release date announcement dropped, we got a small look into what was to come (video is at the top). This trailer gives us a better look at the game’s new region, Toussaint. A world untouched by war. Fans and players of Witcher 3 will notice that Toussaint is a vibrantly colorful world in comparison to the gloomy, rainy, and drab Velen and Novigrad areas of the playable map. Check out the Toussaint gallery below.
We also get a glimpse of some of the horrors that await the franchise’s main protagonist, Geralt. An armor-clad giant, a sinister vampyre, and a few other large and nasty beasts. If you’re an avid fan, like myself, you will also notice some new armor for our hero/monster hunter.
Blood and Wine releases May 31, and I couldn’t be more excited for Geralt’s final adventure.
