Witcher 3 Blood and Wine Release Date News

written by Liana "LiLi" R. May 9, 2016

The Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt by CD Projekt RED is an award-winning action RPG that was released back in May of 2015 for all platforms. The developers provided a ton of exciting (and free!) DLC for players to indulge in but the ride for Geralt of Rivia is not over because there is a new expansion just around the corner: Blood and Wine.

An official announcement has not been made by the developers but if a Steam listing found is to be believed, fans of the series can expect the latest DLC to hit a lot sooner than expected. According to the page listing, the expected drop for Blood and Wine is set for May 30th.

Don’t go looking for the listing any time soon. Mere moments after the post went live, the staff over at Valve quickly fixed their error and took the page down. But screenshots, ah screenshots – they do last forever.

Blood and Wine, according to Momot, will offer a unique experience to the player that will have “every sort of twist and turn you’d expect from our writers.” The premise of the latest expansion is set in an entirely new region, Toussaint.

“Toussaint is unlike anything you’ve seen in Wild Hunt – carefree and colourful, but your gut never stops telling you that there’s some real dark stuff happening underneath all [of] that.”

CD Projekt RED knows how to treat their fans and they have yet to disappoint with an expansion to date. Blood and Wine is expected to tack on 20 more hours of gameplay, which is double of which the last expansion, Hearts of Stone, offered.
