Things Are Getting Worse for Logan Paul and YouTube

Logan Paul is in the news again, and this time it’s about his future with YouTube. The video platform recently took a bit of a hit with the fallout over Paul’s Suicide Forest video, posted on the platform 31st Dec 17.

As a result, YouTube released a public statement over a series of tweets:

We can now see YouTube is taking serious action after numerous complaints about the controversial video. Let’s just hope they will be policing and removing the constant re-posting of this video.

Furthermore, a spokesperson for the platform said in a statement to NPR Thursday:

In light of recent events, we have decided to remove Logan Paul’s channels from Google Preferred. Additionally, we will not feature Logan in season four of ‘Foursome’ and his new Originals are on hold.

Said originals include The Thinning: New World Order, the follow-up to Logan Paul’s 2016 feature-length film.

Logan, 22, made a name for himself originally through the internet video service Vine. He then started posting daily on YouTube, starting September 2016.

Having found a love for acting, the vlogger starring in a series of programmes and movies. Law and Order: Special Victims Unit, and The Space Between Us are just a few.

How Will This Affect Logan Paul?

It is unknown on how this will impact him financially. With all the publicity, he still has over 15 million subscribers on the platform and for that alone, it is clocking revenue.

After the video was removed, the vlogger posted an apology on Twitter:

Paul then announced his break from YouTube:

So it’s a “wait and see” moment. Will Logan bounce back or will he disappear from the public eye for good?
