The characters of the 2017 movie 'It'

Do you find yourself wanting more creepy clowns in your life? Well, you’re in luck! The It: Chapter 2 casting has come out, making the return of Pennywise that much closer. The Losers’ Club is back, and all grown-up. Check out who will be playing your favorite character!

The first chapter of It came out in September of 2017. That’s 27 years since the original adaption with Tim Curry came to the big screen in 1990. Fortunately, we won’t have to wait 27 more years for chapter 2. I don’t think our old selves could handle the spookiness. Bill Skarsgård will be returning as Pennywise in the next film, despite the upcoming change in cast.

The kids who played the characters in the first chapter were the stars of the show, so these actors have some big roles to cover. Bill Denbrough, played by Jaeden Lieberher, will be portrayed by James McAvoy. Bill played an important part in the adaption of Stephen King’s Novel, and of the Losers’ Club. If anyone can do it, Professor X can. Another familiar face joining the crew, is Bill Hader. This SNL alumni will be portraying Richie Tozier, played by Finn Wolfhard. Andy Bean from Allegiant will play Stan Uris, taking over for Wyatt Oleff. Our favorite hypochondriac, Eddie Kaspbrak, will be portrayed by James Ransone. Jessica Chastain will be playing Beverly Marsh, filling in for Sophia Lillis.

So far, It: Chapter 2 has not cast the older versions of Mike Hanlon and Ben Hanscom. At least, it hasn’t become public information. Although the Losers’ Club 2.0 is on it’s way, the loved younger kids will be featured in the new movie. Director Andy Muschietti gave Entertainment Weekly the heads up:

On the second movie, that dialogue between timelines will be more present. If we’re telling the story of adults, we are going to have flashbacks that take us back to the ‘80s and inform the story in the present day.

So, what do you think of the It: Chapter 2 casting? The movie made an exceptional amount of money at the box office last year. I guess we’ll see if their streak of success continues.

Who do you think they will cast as the grown Mike Hanlon and Ben Hanscom? Any suggestions? Let us know your spooky thoughts in the comments!
