XINLIN X165 Mini Quadcopter REVIEW

written by Shane "Geek" Lundberg February 25, 2016

Just like most geeks I have found a weird obsession into the new drone and quadcopter world. These things are starting to take the world by storm. My biggest issue is that I want to be able to play with them while in the house. Good news is you can. In a world of very expensive and large outdoor drones they have now introduced Mini drones and quadcopters. We got our hands on a few of them to play with and had one that really stood out for a review from our friends over at GearBest.

The XINLIN X165 is the littlest of quads but damn this little guy has some power. At $14.25 I did not have the highest hopes for the quadcopter upon opening. After about two hours on the USB charger I was ready to start annoying everyone in the house…and I did just that. I was amazed at the power, sound and the amount of wind that came from this little black copter as it buzzed around in the house. The cats went nuts and the dog thought someone had finally let in his arch nemesis as he destroyed everything in his path to get the buzzing nuisance. My wife could not yell at me enough to get it out of every room I was flying it in. My goal to bug everyone in the house was complete. I found it very easy to fly compared to some of the larger models that I have practiced with. Battery life is not the longest but that is to be expected in such a small package. USB charger works very fast to get you back into action.
