Young Justice and Titans Heading to New Streaming Service

written by Jordan Cobb April 26, 2017

Young Justice is on the way back! The Titans series is still happening! Oh rejoice fellow superhero fans!

Now allow me to bring the rain onto said parade.

The live action Titans series and the return of Young Justice are officially happening, but they will be going online to a brand new streaming service.

In 2018, DC Comics and Warner Bros. will be launching a streaming service of their own together  that will host Titans and the newly named Young Justice: Outsiders. Titans has been long ago thought to be coming on to TNT and the official return of Young Justice has been speculated to be coming to Netflix, but it appears from the recent announcement that this is not the case.

Titans will be headed up by Greg Berlanti and Geoff Johns in addition to Akiva Goldsman who has been long attached to the project. The now titled Young Justice: Outsiders will still be seen under Greg Berlanti.

A press release for Titans described the series as such, “In this action-packed series, Dick Grayson emerges from the shadows to become the leader of a fearless band of new heroes, including Starfire, Raven, and many others.”

That should make any fan of the team very happy as much of the core Teen Titans team is involved. I will admit however, Young Justice has more of my interest given how great Young Justice was across its whole run. Plus, where it left off can provide plenty of storytelling opportunities.

What’s your reaction to the news? Are you excited? What characters do you want to be on each show? Let us know in the comments below!
